"I know industry is getting a bit impatient, Albertans are getting a little bit impatient. And if we're going to to move forward with that MOU, I hope it happens in the the next number of days because I I think in Alberta there does need to be a demonstration that Canada can work. And I think that we've demonstrated a couple of things over the last number of months that we can work well together. We've changed course on a number of things and Alberta wants to continue to build major projects in partnership with Canada." Industry is getting impatient because of the unnecessary costs and red tape they face while there is nothing but lip service. The central part of the MOU is Alberta agreeing to all of Mark Carney's green agenda items as permission to do business and build projects. How is this going to change?

Shocking: The head of the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association says that Canada’s EV mandate is taking money from our automakers and funnelling it into the pockets of Tesla. While our auto industry suffers, the Liberals enrich American companies. A completely backwards approach. For the past 10 years this federal Liberal government has introduced policies that have slowed down Alberta’s economy, prevented pipeline projects and undermined our province. I believe in a strong Alberta within a united Canada. In the coming months, with my new role as referendum lead, I will listen to the concerns of Albertans and ensure that we can address the root causes of western alienation and fight for a stronger Alberta within a united Canada. I am proud to be an Albertan and a Canadian. I will continue to call on Mark Carney’s Liberal Government to listen to Albertans and to take the necessary steps to unite our country and strengthen our province. It’s time to act.

One of my jobs as Premier is to prove Alberta can be strong and prosperous within Canada. We’ve spent months negotiating with the federal government and have come to an agreement that includes the cancellation of the oil and gas production cap, and the net-zero power regs in Alberta. My hope is that as we work to implement this agreement, and advance a new million barrel per day oil pipeline to Asian markets, Albertans will see a bright future as a strong and sovereign province within a united Canada.
