Kharkiv Mayor reported that the latest strikes in the Slobidskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts also deliberately hit these vital objects. “The goal is clear — to destroy the energy island we've been building for years and try to plunge our city and all of us into cold and darkness. Today, thousands of members of our community joined together to say no to building a men’s shelter next to our schools, daycare centers, and senior centers. Together, we are calling for more affordable housing, senior housing, mental health services, and improving our programs that will help keep hardworking New Yorkers off the streets. I would like to thank Assembly member Colton for joining me in organizing this rally and for joining me in calling for an end to this shelter’s construction.

The sixth meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. Together with our partners, we supported the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war, stop the killings, and achieve a just and lasting peace. I am grateful to the partners for our shared position: the path to peace cannot be determined without Ukraine, and negotiations can only yield results if they take place under a ceasefire. I am also grateful for the active support of our state as long as Russia has not agreed to a ceasefire. I called on our partners to finance Ukrainian drone production to enhance our country’s defense capabilities and to join the new NATO PURL instrument for the procurement of U.S. weapons. During the meeting, we coordinated the next steps and agreed to continue working in close contact between Ukraine, all of Europe, and the United States. I thank everyone who is working to bring this war to a just end.

I met with President of the German Bundestag Julia Klöckner. We discussed mechanisms that would make it possible to use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine. We appreciate Germany’s leadership on this issue. We also spoke separately about our joint efforts with partners to end the war, establish a dignified peace, and guarantee security. I thank Julia Klöckner and the entire Bundestag for their support for Ukraine, in particular for allocating €11.5 billion in defense assistance for next year. This will help our warriors and our country defend against Russian aggression.
