This is exactly why the Lindsay Clancy trial needed an expert in perinatal mental health. Dr. Jennifer Payne, a leading reproductive psychiatrist, is calling to reclassify postpartum psychosis as its own distinct mental illness. We need specialized expertise in the courtroom. Emerging strategies like ketogenic therapy are showing promise, offering new possibilities for recovery and transforming mental health care as we know it. There is an urgent need for a paradigm shift in psychiatry and in this interview, Dr. Palmer highlights how metabolic therapies are opening new doors for recovery. We can do better. And we must.
