This reminds me of something Jason from "Archaix" said about a time before the flood; Where he postulates during the day it wouldn't rain In the evening the firmament would shower the earth for plant growth etc, but it would never rain during the day That changed with 'the flood'

The Moon does NOT reflect sunlight. It is it's own "lesser light" set in the Firmament.
