If a computer screen is in public view it is not illegal. The bank is stupid for having computer screens that face windows. Tell customers to bank somewhere else. Their bank is broadcasting their private information if it's viewable from a street window.

I dislike “auditors” but the law is the law and if he’s on a public sidewalk and the bank’s computers are visible for people standing on the sidewalk or walking by their windows they need to tint their windows or turn their computers away from the street.

Can I dislike everyone in the video? Guy's a jerk but is legally correct but doesn't need to resort to vulgarity & name calling. Deputy needs to get educated on the law, specifically SCOTUS rulings on the 1st Amendment. The bank needs to not have info visible from the street.

The bank has computer monitors visible to anyone on the sidewalk/street? 🧐🤔🤨 What bank is this? I def don't want to do any business there. 🤦

Yet another stupid DEI female cop who never studied the Constitution in cop school! Seems to me that the bank is pretty stupid for allowing their employees to have their computer screens facing the public. So much for protecting customers' private financial information!

I have zero problem with the 1A auditors, but apparently I’m in the minority. Why does it piss people off so much?

Apparently, there was a concern on the part of the bank manager that the employees' computer monitors were facing the street and visible through the windows as they conducted banking business for clients. That potentially would be a serious breach of confidentiality, but trying to own the sidewalk is not the way to correct it.

Tesla's also record constantly while they're out and about driving around. Same with cars that have dashcams. Yet people can't seem to handle a human holding a camera out in public. That's fucking bizarre as hell.

Recording someone's stupidity of exposing vulnerable data is not the problem of the pedestrian. There is no assumption of privacy in this case. Tint your windows if this is a concern

People that don't know their rights and don't understand the purpose or value of rights are the LAST people that should voice opinions on constitutional issues. People that dismiss the ramifications of refusing to exercise rights built upon a foundation of "he's being a dick" should understand the effects of a passive mindset on the West in the last 20 years. Ignorance itself is not shameful but trying to substitute emotion for knowledge to traverse ignorance definitely is.

The photographer/"auditor" is also hoping that they're stupid so he will have content. There's no other reason for this. Just another annoying douchebag with a camera.

If you have an account with a bank where their computer screens face the general public on the street. Find another bank.

Silly question; why does the bank have computer screens facing the windows if the windows aren't darkened enough to protect the sensitive information being pulled up? So, instead of addressing that the bank wants to blame a guy with a camera for their screw up. Yeah, ok.

While this douche is not wrong, I think we can all agree that these “auditors” are nothing but the biggest pieces of shit on the planet. Doing something just for the sake of being an annoying prick to prove a point for content. Here I am biting hook, line, & sinker. I’m a dope.

So the officer just confirmed that the bank knowingly has monitors displaying private information to the street? From the way I see it, that's a class action suit by any one of the bank's customers for violation of all kinds of laws protecting private information. And this is apparently taking place in California, the mecca of class action lawsuits...
