Unfortunately this is a problem in ECHL. One team headed to playoffs. Other just taking shots with minutes left in regular season. Jesse Kallechy doesn’t get hot like that very often.

It was nice seeing Kallechy and Melkert both show that kind of emotion at least. Dirty, dirty plays by Bloomington though.

We had this happen last night in Reading. We knocked Worcester out of playoffs, and the same result.

I think this also happened a few years ago vs. Indy where we lost Stefano Giliati, Boudens, and one other guy right before the playoffs started.

You cannot legislate integrity or sportsmanship. There’s no rule change that gets rid of dirty plays. This is the kind of thing that coaches can have influence with their team, but ultimately falls on the players themselves as individuals with the choices they make play by play.
