Underwater shoots usually take a lot of specialized gear, building underwater sets are extra expensive, and green-screen lighting has additional unique issues to overcome underwater. Hybrid production makes underwater shoots much more accessible. Made with Luma.

🎆 A unique aspect of the Zootopia scene in Disney Cascade of Lights is when show control takes over The North Mountain. Also shows how many lights are used to create the standard lighting for the mountain.

This meticulously crafted scene is Temple 4, from Art Director Tomasz Strzalkowski 🏰 Part of a larger series, it showcases an incredible, dark environment with unique architecture that utilizes the Lumen lighting model to enhance its realism.

Stuck in Roots by Lighting Artist Karim Yasser is an environment made using Unreal Engine 5.5.1 which takes us deep into the woods 🌳 The creation of this project is rooted in Quixel Megascans assets, unique meshes made with Unreal's modelling tools, Lumen and Nanite. Through these tools, Karim was able to approach the project like a canvas to create a more stylized look with higher quality lighting on.

This vtuber's 3D concert had such a unique 1960's retro aesthetic. They're pushing the aesthetics of vtubing into new frontiers. They put avatars of their community members in the band and in the audience. The camera angles and lighting make it feel real.

Godot's Third Person Shooter demo, ported to Flutter Scene as a fun stress test. Running in Flutter 3.47 on Flutter GPU and Impeller, the built-in graphics stack. 617 MiB of cooked content. 1,795,763 unique vertices, 659,079 unique triangles, 320 collision meshes, 23 punctual lights. Converted to Scene's own scene description format for AOT baking. The lighting doesn't look as moody as the original and needs a bunch of adjusting. Way too much light spilling in from the environment map... But a pretty decent port so far!

Meet the new Ford F-150 Lobo. In order to give the Lobo some legit street truck credentials, Ford dropped the truck’s rear suspension by 2 inches and equipped it with a 10-piece ground effects package. Dual exhaust tips point to the V8 under the hood, and unique 22-inch wheels plus bespoke front and rear lighting complete the look. Thoughts?

How lighting works in Simulon Using a professional on-set VFX kit, we showcase our unique Image Based Lighting system. Simulon employs ML to create a 360° HDRI from just one LDR shot, aligning it perfectly with scene data. Our virtual camera replicates the physical camera’s response to light, syncing seamlessly with the HDR info. Notice how the dynamic exposure changes on the virtual VFX kit closely match the real one. Bonus: At the end of the video I place a 3D Dragon in the scene and make a capture, this capture is then rendered in the cloud to produce a photorealistic VFX video 🐉 More on the capture and render process in upcoming videos!
