Not for me. I don’t dislike Martinez but he is simply not ideal at CB for the PL. Where is Utd’s Vidic & Ferdinand type partnership in today’s team. They had everything covered & to be at the top that is what is needed.

It is not difficult, a proper CB when fit. Just extend and get another LCB starter to fight for the slot, and cover in case of unavilability without dropping standard.

I would take the risk and let him go. He is a very good player that has learnt to stay fit for his country Argentina and injured for the club. This hasn’t helped the younger players learn from him and he has added a few value to the team when needed. I will let him go.

Think he’s a liability at times for United they’d do better getting a real big athletic CB in say Inacio or something. He’s gotta be tied down or he leaves for free . United could always sell Martinez if they felt they had to.. he’s gotta get a new contract unfortunately
