I'm in the This Looks Fake camp. They said you could buy these for about ten or fifteen thousand dollars, but you really need to spend fifty thousand dollars to get the software development kit.

The hardware is quite capable and they are not too far from the current SOTA in dynamic locomotion. The price depends on supply and demand and they can't scale supply too quickly since it's still just a hardware platform for r&d.
