Parents often ask me about the best way to engage infants in lap reading - noting, at the very earliest stages, that their babies aren’t always real attentive to books. It’s important, first and foremost, to note that infant attention spans are very short. So know that it’s okay to start small… reading for just a minute or two at a time. But there are also ways you can optimize your chances of a successful experience. One trick is to literally turn things around, as illustrated by this great video from justjessfood on IG, who (with the assistance of a supportive pillow) has turned lap reading into a face-to-face social experience. There’s nothing your baby loves more than your face… as evidenced by this sweet little guy who arguably takes more delight in mom’s expressive reading than in a view of the book itself. And that’s just fine! He’s still accruing all the language benefits as they bond. And talk about an appreciative audience! Next time you read with your baby try configuring the situation so that they can see both you and the book. You may find it makes a big difference.

But, in today’s game it’s very much heading towards the way of having a solid two-handed backhand and generating with the forehand. The game is so quick today, it helps to have that extra arm on the backhand. That’s why it’s so much more rare to see guys that have one-handed backhands….I blame Roger Federer, I grew up watching him and wanted to play like him so that’s def a big reason why I have a one-hander” 😅

#ลีน่าหมิว #LenaMiu 🦋: I feel it’s an episode that should be watched the most. 🧸: it shows the cuteness of Parn and Pheem, where they fell in love, the start of the sparks, and the start of the feeling of ‘hey, I really like this woman’ and ‘hey, you really like this woman’. 🦋: and the important thing is that you get to see the trauma for both of the characters from their personal lives. Like why do both of the characters think this way and what’s the trauma. There’s a backstory to the characters, which will give it more weight/depth in the later episodes. 🦋: we’re very happy that everyone/fans want to come and watch us in the first ep. We also wanted everyone to come and watch with us on the big screen. 🧸: yes, we’re very happy to see the fans. The last time was our first time, so we were nervous (excited nervous) and it was a bit scary. The last time was our first time, so we were nervous (excited nervous) and it was a bit scary. Scientists don’t know what they are going to discover. They have to try things. They have to have curiosity and ideas, but they also have to have the knowledge to try things. Very often, it leads to nothing; it’s a waste. But we didn’t know when we started it’s a waste. But when something does work. When something clicks, it is exciting and rewarding but it’s never just one click. You get a result on it, you’re hopeful, you build on it. Maybe it’s confirmed you’re even more hopeful. So it’s an incremental process. It is never one thing - boom we discovered a major thing, my god this is it. It is more like walking up a flight of stairs where each step counts and the higher up the stairs you go the better you can see what’s on top and become excited about what’s there and how you can use.

Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part.
