I don’t even know where to begin.🥹🥹 I’m sitting here trying to process what I just witnessed, and I genuinely want to cry. Seeing Jennie live at Mad Cool was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. Pictures and videos will never do her justice. She is breathtakingly gorgeous. The way she walks, the way she looks at the crowd, the confidence, the elegance… her aura is absolutely unreal. She doesn’t even have to do anything she can simply stand there, and the entire crowd loses their minds. And then she performs. Jennie isn’t just a singer or an idol. She is a born performer. Every movement, every expression, every second on that stage demands your attention. She owns the stage in a way that’s impossible to explain unless you’ve seen it with your own eyes. 🫠🤩🤩 The crowd was INSANE. So loud. So passionate. The energy never dropped for a second. You could feel how much love everyone had for her. It wasn’t just fans either, even people who didn’t come for Jennie were talking about how incredible she was. She won over so many people tonight. Mad Cool wasn’t ready for Jennie. She didn’t just perform… she left a mark. She proved, once again, why she’s one of the greatest performers of this generation. I’ve said it countless times - and I’ll say it again. Trivium wouldn’t exist without the Gothenburg scene. In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates These three were some of the first bands I got into after initially getting into metal. We’ve toured with In Flames 6 times now since 2005; and it’s been amazing to be able to go from a super fan, to a peer, to close friends with IF. We were so excited to be invited to In Flames’ incredible festival; then to be able to guest on my favorite In Flames song ever; to be able to watch Dark Tranquillity from right in the middle of the crowd; and to see Anders and Mikael’s touching tribute to Tomas Lindberg (another hero who I was able to meet briefly years back - and I’m happy I was able to tell him what a massive inspiration he and all his music has been to me) - and also to be able to take part in that tribute alongside Anders and Mikael. I could go on forever about how unreal last night was - but to sum it up: to be in the birthplace of a genre that helped make me who I am, and be able to share the stage with two of my icons of music - and be able to call them friends - is otherworldly. Tack så mycket Göthenburg/ In Flames/ Dark Tranquillity/ At The Gates/ Göteborg Brinner! • I also finally met Lord Ahriman properly from one of the greatest black metal bands ever: Dark Funeral! • Need some recommendations to start listening to IF DF ATG and DF? Start with: In Flames: Whoracle, Reroute To Remain Dark Tranquillity: Projector, Haven At The Gates: Terminal Spirit Disease, Slaughter Of The Soul Dark Funeral: Diabolis Interium, Secrets Of The Black Arts
