In hindsight, that mistake basically knocked him out of the title fight. If it weren’t for that mistake he made himself, he would’ve stayed in the title fight until the end, and McLaren probably wouldn’t have had to prioritize Lando.

Unfortunately McLaren were already favouring Lando even when Oscar was leading the championship
