Ethereum and Solana pioneered DeFi and built the world's most active programmable financial ecosystem: 76M+ deployed smart contracts, 127M active wallets, and $160B in DeFi TVL. That foundation is real and it matters, but the institutions moving trillions on-chain chose different infrastructure entirely.
