I think it helps make movements feel smoother and more expressive, but I still need to do more tests. For this one, I only added a small Laban section to the Seedance prompt. Laban is a movement analysis system that describes motion through weight, time, space and flow to shape expressive body language and performance. You can find the prompts below.

I didn’t expect Grok’s video model to improve this much. Today, when I was generating a video with Seedance 2.0, I found the results weren’t very good. So I tried using the exact same source material and prompt in Grok instead. To my surprise, Grok actually produced better results than Seedance 2.0. I’ve put the prompt and source material in the comments, so if you’re interested, you can give it a try too. The left side shows the video generated by Grok, and the right side shows the video generated by Seedance 2.0.

The exaggerated motion, speed marks and rhythm cues seem to survive the generation process surprisingly well. Feels especially good for solo choreography pieces. Of course, following this many panels inside a 15s video is probably unrealistic. But it still captures the concept and energy surprisingly well. I didn’t have enough time to fully test Seedance 2.0 with cartoon styles, but I made an attempt here using an image generated in Midjourney, and the result is promising, though somewhat incomplete. I need to explore it more deeply, but I’m sure it’s possible to achieve some great animations with it.

One trick we discovered for avoiding realistic face moderation issues in Seedance 2.0 is using character turnaround sheets (front / side / back views). The first video is one of our experiment results — and it runs successfully. We’ve now integrated character turnarounds directly into our workflow + canvas system: 1. If your artwork was generated on our site, you can drag the image into the canvas directly from the Assets tab 2. Click the “Character Turnaround” button above the image to automatically generate a 3-view turnaround sheet 3. Create a new video node and use the turnaround sheet directly with Seedance 2.0 inside the workflow I’ve shared the workflow link in the comments if you want to explore the exact prompts, setup, and workflow details.

Midjourney sref + Sora 2 Pro is the sauce. With one Midjourney style image, you can give a specific style for your entire project. I created two different 12-second clips and edited them together. Some details aren’t fully consistent, like the iPod or AirPods because the clips were made separately from a single image (Character in a specific style). It could be fixed in post-production, but that would take more time, and this was more of an experimental test. It would be great to add the actual product image with the current one to maintain product consistency. I feel like if there were a way to add 2–4 images into this workflow, it could open up a lot more possibilities and consistency. With an API, it could be possible. Or let’s see what Veo 3.1 has to offer.
