That's awesome. Any idea what it cost to get her back? I hope to visit her in a museum some day.

welcome home s40 🎉

Woah!!! The raptors though

Welcome home... Orca...

The "journey around the world" is the road haul back to Starbase, not an orbital mission. In this same thread you already showed Starship 40 with the Stars and Stripes rolling from the Port of Brownsville back to Boca Chica on 10/10, so the trip is sea plus overland logistics. Serial 40 is what's tracking here, not a flight record.

This thing is huge!

After so long journey, Ship 40 finally reached it's home. It is historic as it is the first Starship to splash down softly & intact without exploding. And the interesting thing is that SpaceX's team managed to return it back for analysis.

Anything that goes around the world is a good excuse for a globe. Wrap string around the equator, measure it against the scale, and see how close you get to about 24,900 miles.

I think starship 40 should be a national treasure!

Are those new holes? Poor girl. It's been a rough trip for her.

The lights on the flag are just awesome !

Welcome back home to your birthplace, Starship 40! It's been a long, scorched journey.

Now they can test out the new jig for transport to Cap Canaveral before they do it with a real new Starship.
