Were those all ad-libs? Or were those lines planned in advance? Director Lee: Actually, the direction I gave was extremely simple and minimal, and the rest of those scenes came from the members themselves through their own ad-libs. 👩🏻 How simple was the director’s guidance? Director Lee: I mostly said, “Do whatever you want. Anything is fine.” In the case of the elevator scene, it was actually one of the scenes that reflected the members’ own opinions the most. 👩🏻 Which member left the strongest impression on you? Was there a member where you thought, “I only intended this much, but they brought it to life this well?” Director Lee: Among the members, in the case of V, since we had already worked together on several other projects and had built some familiarity, we had exchanged a lot of ideas even before the music video shoot began. And when I first mentioned that I wanted the elevator entrance scene to feel both impactful and witty, it was Kim Taehyung who said, “I’m confident when it comes to being funny.” Because of Taehyung’s proactiveness made me even more excited too, and he really played a big role in setting the mood on set. SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS SAVE CHILD FROM BURNING HOME Today at 11:15 a.m., the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District responded to a residential structure fire located on the 1300 block of N. Valencia Avenue in the City of San Bernardino. The initial engine arrived in six minutes and reported a single story residence, well involved with smoke and fire. Shortly after arrival, residents informed fire crews that their daughter, who has access and functional needs, was trapped inside the home. In response to the life-threatening update, firefighters shifted their strategy from fire suppression to search and rescue. A team was able to locate the child in a bedroom and safely passed her through a window to fellow firefighters outside. She was subsequently taken to awaiting firefighter/paramedics and transported to a local hospital, where she was reported to be in serious but stable condition. Additionally, a family dog was successfully rescued from the premises. Seven engines, one truck company, one medic squad, and three chief officers, totaling 30 personnel deployed to the scene. This incident underscores the effectiveness of rigorous training, teamwork, and the enhanced staffing levels implemented in the City of San Bernardino. Last year, staffing levels were increased to four personnel on all trucks, and an additional medic squad was added. These enhancements were crucial during this response, as the captain from the assigned truck was able to perform the rescue and hand off the child to the medic squad, who provided immediate emergency medical care. The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District would like to remind residents to keep bedroom doors closed, especially when someone is sleeping inside. The closed bedroom door helped prevent smoke and flames from causing major injuries, providing enough time for emergency crews to locate the child without any significant burns or airway injuries. Dan Goldman, Nicole Malliotakis to the Archives confirms the FBI records are being sought through the Public Interest Declassification Board Public Interest Declassification Board With the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 Al Qaeda terrorist attacks that killed nearly three thousand Americans approaching, I sat down with retired Lieutenant Colonel Tony Shaffer who was part of a controversial and classified program called ABLE DANGER. Prior to 9/11, ABLE DANGER datamined phone, travel and financial records to identify al Qaeda members. Shaffer produced new evidence to back up claims that the team identified al Qaeda cells before the attack as well as lead hijacker Mohammed Atta. In 2006, a Senate Report and the DoD internal watchdog (DoD Inspector General) concluded there was no evidence to support the ABLE DANGER claims. But in a 2017 sworn affidavit and “Disclosure of Urgent Concern” to the Intelligence Community Internal Watchdog, a DoD IG Senior Executive said the Senate Report was “informed by the flawed and incorrect premises” of the DoD IG report that was part of a "continued pattern of misconduct." This wide-ranging interview examines suppressed pre-9/11 intelligence, the present day push for declassification of FBI records on Saudi ties, and accountability 25 years later. We reached out to the Saudi Embassy in Washington DC. A spokesperson confirmed receipt of our questions. We will update if a response becomes available. Steven Spielberg and Close Encounters of the Third Kind new original UFO history documentary This documentary covers the early life and career of Steven Spielberg leading up to his first major UFO film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, released in 1977. It covers how Spielberg’s lifelong fascination with UFOs and with film making would ultimately lead to his seminal UFO film.
