The RCMP seized and occupied and destroyed the unrelated amd privately owned property next to Universal Ostrich Farms for logistical and operational purposes. As if that wasn't bad enough, they have been terrorizing the family that lives there since the property was seized.

It looks like the cfia might be getting ready to head out during the night. The RCMP are likely to remain while the fences are taken down. CFIA, RCMP, it's time to leave and let this family grieve.

There is a sick bird at Universal Ostrich Farms. The owners don't believe CFIA is properly caring for the bird and are requesting their veterinarian check on and treat the bird. RCMP relay that CFIA is willing to let the vet see the bird tomorrow. Tomorrow could be too late!

UPDATE from Universal Ostrich Farms: Mike and I took FOB SMITH to the RCMP command post. There is a lot of fencing and a lot of bins there today but far less vehicles and police than usual. There is still no official ostrich count and no indication that CFIA or RCMP will be doing one. Mike and I are continuing to gather evidence, we are looking for the truth. There is zero transparency here and a lot of things in place that make it appear there is something to hide. CFIA or the RCMP could easily put many of these questions to rest with a count of the birds and a sliver of transparency.

RCMP Shift Change The RCMP handling security for CFIA work 12 hour shifts at Universal Ostrich Farms and swap out at 6:00am and 6:00pm. The officers are actually working 60 an hour shifts because they have a 2-hour commute from their hotels to the farm and 2 hours back.

Universal Ostrich Farms Update - 12 November, 2025 Days after the mass slaughter most of the CFIA agents and their RCMP paramilitary protection force have left the farm. A skeleton crew remains as fences are torn down and allegedly contaminated hay from the killing fields is dragged all over the yard and driven out onto the highway. Once the CFIA and RCMP leave the farm there will be a lot of work to do to document what's left behind for the family and supporters to begin picking up to pieces of their shattered lives. This story is far from over... Stay tuned.

BREAKING: Jim Kerr has been arrested by the RCMP at Universal Ostrich Farms Jim was taken from the farm to the RCMP command post nearby to be processed and will likely be released afterwards. CFIA overreach accelerates as neighbour's property seized, threatened with arrest The CFIA has expanded its seizure of land to a family independent of Universal Ostrich Farms, restricting the owners from their own home and garden. In the latest twist of the Universal Ostrich Farms vs. Canadian Food Inspection Agency standoff, Rebel News is exposing how the CFIA’s overreach has expanded beyond the farmers and their avian-flu immune ostriches, and onto the property of their neighbours. While on site, we spoke with Alyson Turnbull, niece of ostrich farm co-owner Karen Espersen and cousin to farm spokesperson, Katie Pasitney. Turnbull explained her immediate families' shock and horror to come home to much of her mother’s land being seized for the CFIA cull mission while they were away from the home. The property, which borders the farmers' property, was never deemed a “dangerous zone” until this past September, just before the CFIA was granted a “warrant to search” under the Health of Animals Act, section 34. Despite not being involved in the ostrich farm operation, the family has been treated like criminals; RCMP remain stationed at their property around the clock while the Supreme Court deliberates whether the CFIA’s cull order can proceed. When Alyson tried to get answers as to why they were being restricted and told they can’t even harvest their own garlic, an RCMP officer told her that the CFIA “has control of your property” and that they were being “gracious enough” to allow them to access to the house only. She was later warned via text by a liaison officer to remember, that according to CFIA, Alyson could not go into her mom’s “property without first emailing them” and cautioned that the CFIA could order her arrest if she did not comply. The overreach mirrors the same heavy-handed approach that Alyson’s aunt and cousin, Karen and Katie, faced when being arrested shortly after the CFIA descended to their properties, because the ostrich farmers insisted on humanely caring for their birds until the CFIA was lawfully able to cull them. A list of “Judgements to be rendered on leave applications” for this week do not list the “UoF vs CFIA” case, which means the cull will likely remain paused this week. Still, the CFIA shows no signs of backing off the land, returning care to the farmers, and spending less tax dollars in doing so to give the Supreme Court time to reserve judgement.
