Police Deny Assaulting Man For Refusing To Give Up His Phone The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to the viral video where police officers are seen dragging a man on the road in the Ishashi area of Ojo, Lagos State. The police spokesman in Lagos state, Benjamin Hundeyin, said this in reaction to the video which was shared on Twitter. In the viral video shared on Sunday, police officers are seen dragging a young man and attempting to prevent him from using his phone. Reacting to a user's claim that police officers beat the man because he refused to give up his phone, Hundeyin debunked it, stating that arrested suspects in sensitive cases such as cultism will not be allowed to make calls immediately so that they do not alert their gang members to destroy evidence. He tweeted, “Your narrative is wrong and misleading. It is a fact that Ishashi is one of the hotbeds of cultism in Lagos State. It is equally a known fact that these cultists engage in heavy drug abuse. So doing a random search of three young men moving together and finding hard drugs on one of them would definitely call for a closer look. “Yes, he was being prevented from making a call. No one attempted to collect his phone. This is not the norm in all cases. This particular case borders on a felony, cultism. Freshly arrested suspects in cases as sensitive as cultism will not be allowed to make calls IMMEDIATELY so that they don’t alert their gang members to destroy evidence and bolt. Calls can later be made after the initial documentation and in the presence of the IPO. UPDATE : Many in the comments are saying that it's not Andrew Tate who is trying to hand the mobile phone to his bodyguard but rather the US Marshal who was handcuffing him. This is not true and unrealistic. First of all look at the slow downed video it is clear that Andrew Tate was holding the phone and was going to put it in his pocket whilst the officer pulled him and started handcuffing him, a moment later Andrew Tate tried to give the phone to his bodyguard instead but his bodyguard did not flinch and the phone dropped on the floor. Also look at the hands, Andrew Tate had no watch on his left hand, whilst the officer clearly had a black watch on. The hand trying to give the phone to the bodyguard clearly had no watch on, further proving that it was Andrew Tate who handed him the phone. The attention of the US Marshal was obviously to handcuff him and not to get the phone at that moment. The person picking up the phone is also obviously a US Marshal and not a member of Tate's entourage because moments before he could be seen telling his bodyguards to move back to allow the arrest to proceed snoothly.

Wow this customer went in to have her Apple watch synched up with her phone, and for some reason, the manager, (Ethan) wound up erasing all of her photos, work documents, everything, and set the phone back to factory reset. The worst part of this is when she confronts him about it he denies it, blames her for it all while slurring his words. This has to be one of the weirdest confrontations I’ve ever seen. It’s believed that he was drunk. The customer then asks to speak to someone over him, and he just flat out says no. In the end he was fired, unfortunately, the customer was not given any kind of compensation. I do believe she should have been able to get her information back on the phone if it’s in the cloud, but maybe I’m wrong about that.?

Umkomaas Beach Incident: KZN: Case thrown out of Court: From the local councillor: “The young man involved in the incident with SAPS at Umkomaas Beach was arrested and detained to appear in Scottburgh Court on the 15th of July 2024 on charges of Common Assault, Defeating the ends of Justice and Disarming the police. “The SAPS officers involved in the incident are reportedly from the King Shaka Airport precinct in the Durban North Cluster which is three clusters away from the South. “The information given by the young man’s father is extremely alarming. “According to him at the time of his son’s assault and arrest there was no fish found in his possession. “He had his fishing license on his person and he was unarmed. “Around 11.00am today, the young man was supposed to appear in Court on the above charges. However, the prosecution declined to prosecute and the case was thrown out of court. “The parents, although highly traumatised, are happy to have their son back at home. “He is being taken to the district surgeon for examination after which further action will be initiated against the State. “We are glad that the courts have justly applied their minds and ended the ordeal of the young man.” SA Police Service 🇿🇦
