This is not how harm reduction should operate man 🤦‍♀️ I understand we get put in stressful situations but she should have used the Narcan before anything else.

Last year the Mayor in conjunction with the Department of Public Health told the public nobody will be handing out harm reduction supplies without offering people any type of services such as treatment. Well today I got harm reduction supplies without getting offered no treatment or Services. When I walked in there, the only thing that was asked is, what can I get you.

This Evening I took a trip to 16th & Mission to Visit Harm Reduction Mobile Crew when I first arrived paramedics was leaving from resuscitating someone from a overdose, so I continue to get in line to get some harm reduction equipment after they noticed me they tried to rally the people around there to have a confrontation with me, but at the end of it all they packed up and left

Residents claim that the area attracts this demographic because of two harm reduction programs operating at this intersection. The Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre distributes drug paraphernalia, such as pipes, needles, and syringes, free of charge. Directly across the street, West Neighbourhood House also operates a harm reduction program that distributes the same supplies for drug use. The primary goal of these programs is to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and reduce overdose deaths. Many businesses in the area have closed, which locals say is due, in part, to the drug activity. Teams of people walk around collecting needles and other items left behind by users. At nearby Alexandra Park, we saw large groups of people gathered, with some openly holding pipes. Just a short distance away, a summer camp for children was taking place. Critics of harm reduction argue that the normalization of drug use is only making the problem worse, with increasing numbers of people struggling with addiction on the streets of Toronto. Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. 🐥 Have I ever told you about the time I had sleep paralysis? No? No? It was actually back during Boys Planet. I haven’t had it since then. It was when I was preparing the stage for Switch, which we put together in such a short time. It was one of the hardest times. I wasn’t sleeping in my usual room then. I was sharing a room with a close friend. That night, I fell asleep… and then suddenly, my eyes opened. When I opened them, that friend was sleeping while facing me with his head turned toward me. But I didn’t think much of it, just closed my eyes again. Then I opened my eyes once more and suddenly, that friend was gone! I thought “Ah, maybe he went to the bathroom.” The bathroom was over there, and I was here [middle], and he had been sleeping next to me but wasn’t anymore. So I assumed he went to the bathroom. But then I closed my eyes again and opened them… and someone was standing right in front of my bed. And it was that friend. He was standing there! And then suddenly started sliding sideways, slowly walking toward me. But my body wouldn’t move. I was trying to speak, but all I could do was stare with my eyes open. Just blinking like this. Then suddenly, that friend leaned his head toward my shoulder! Like a drill! At that moment, chills ran all over my body. He kept coming closer, like drilling into me. Then I remembered, if you get sleep paralysis, you can break out of it by starting to move your toes slowly, one by one. So I closed my eyes and started wiggling my toes little by little to wake myself up. Eventually, the paralysis broke. When I finally opened my eyes for real, my friend was right there next to me again, sleeping, facing me exactly as before. Actually… I still haven’t told that friend this story. I was scared it might bring bad luck. That was the first and only time in my life I experienced sleep paralysis. Just imagine it. Your friend is lying next to you sleeping, and suddenly, he is standing by your bed with his eyes rolled back, leaning his head toward you like a drill. That’s scary! That was the first time I ever had sleep paralysis and I haven’t had it since.

love how woonhak was telling riwoo about tansansu while literally walking in circles like he really cannot believe tansansu said “I love you” to him 😭 im crying the 3x speed storytelling is so funny ngl 🧸: i just suddenly missed her, so i called and said i wanted to see her. then she was like, “why are you like that oppa” and i was like, “wow, how can you talk to me like that?” so i asked, “what are you doing? isn’t it children’s day the day after tomorrow? what are you up to?” and then she told me “oppa, you know that im off tomorrow and the day after” so i said “really? then what are you doing tomorrow?” and suddenly she goes "im going to the sea in incheon” 🧸i asked what she was going there for and who she was going with, and she said no one else just her and one friend. she has this really close best friend. so my younger sibling is going on a little outing not really a trip, more like a day trip to incheon with that friend, just the two of them. and as his older brother, of course i was worried. like, how are the two of them going to manage that? she's only in second year of middle school. But she said, “oppa, you used to take the subway around by yourself too, right? i can do it.” so i was like… okay. i tried to act cool and just sent her 100,000 won. i even told her, “take a taxi when you go, and take a taxi back.” yeah… that’s the kind of person i am, i guess. anyway, i sent it. 🧸 then suddenly, she told me she loves me. when she try to say “i love you,” she usually hesitate a lot and end up not saying it. but right after i sent the money, she suddenly went, “oppa, i love you.” like does that even make sense? 🧸 but still, hearing it made me really happy. i felt so good, so i just told her, “have fun.” then yesterday, maybe she was really touched by the allowance or something my younger sibling suddenly called me on facetime. she never does that, you know. 🧸 but i couldn’t answer because i was busy with my schedule. then she sent me a video of the sea and texted, “oppa, what are you doing?” that kind of thing never happens, so it made me really happy. anyway, yeah… just a small little episode.

11 years ago today @GoldieBabu came to Minnesota from a high kill shelter in Missouri. She was out of time after spending 3 months there. I was determined to just foster her until she was adopted…as I had just started my company and had no time or money for a dog. Of course, it was love at 1st sight. Goldie laid it on THICK. Constantly nudging me for pets, laying ON TOP of me, and just begging for love. I’ve now realized she wasn’t acting, that’s just the loving girl she was and all she wanted was a home to feel safe in. I was a foster parent fail within 5 minutes of meeting her. I always celebrate her birthday (she’ll be 14) on the day I adopted her which is 2/23. I hope she makes it another month…but until then, this old lady will get all the things. Today, she got her 1st McDonald’s cheeseburger. I cut it in half so she could at least get 2 bites. Poor girl can’t walk very well and you can see her shaking at the end…but she certainly loved her anniversary meal 😂💕.

CONFRONTING HARM REDUCTION: Tuesday afternoon, Seattle Councilmember Sara Nelson(@CMSaraNelson ) picked apart "harm reduction" experts during a Public Safety and Human Services Committee meeting. She asked for data and metrics showing the effectiveness of this model in addressing the out of control drug addiction crisis and record fentanyl overdose deaths in King County. The panel made up of activists and academics couldn't give her a straight answer. Councilmember Lisa Herbold(Lisa Herbold) came to their rescue as Nelson's direct questions brought up a lot of inconvenient truths. But the most stunning response came from Amber Tejada, with the Hepatitis Education Project: "I know it can be a little controversial, but one of the key tenets of harm reduction that I see is that we want to be able to facilitate and champion autonomy of people who use drugs. And so you know there are folks who don't want to stop using drugs. There are folks for whom abstinence is not something by which they measure their success in life." In other words, the "harm reduction" lobby does not believe in intervention. Free will choice to do drugs is more important than recovery. Caller: "Okay. So, I've been with my wife for, we've been together since we were 14, for 14 years. I'm 32, I met her when I was 19, we had a child at 20. And, um, I've always just kind of been a butthead to her, to be honest. Every now and then I would demean her or make little comments, and I would say it started to really get bad about six weeks ago. Um, we were doing some work in the yard, and I really just blew up on her over the stupidest little thing. And then about a week later, we're just constantly arguing and dividing from each other. And then about a week or two later, she told me that she thought she was falling out of love with me. And it just really crushed me. I never would have thought that those words could come out of her mouth, and she told me that the way I treat her is, I'm not treating her the right way. And I completely owned it. I mean, I said everything you said is absolutely correct. You know, and I said, 'I don't want my son, our son growing up thinking that this is how you're supposed to treat women.' And, I mean, since that day, I have treated her like an angel. I mean, I've done everything and just constantly telling her I love her, giving her hugs, kisses. Um, but that was a Saturday night, and then Monday night she ended up telling me that she was, um, in communication with a guy she met on TikTok. And she told me she broke it off with him, and I asked her, What was the subjects about?' And she said it was just somebody to talk to about what I'm going through, my mental, you know, health. And she said it was never anything flirtatious or anything like that. She said it was just a stranger that I could talk to, but she said, 'I broke it off with him, and I'm gonna focus on us. And I said, 'I'm all in with you, let's rebuild this.' And we went about two weeks and it was just absolute honeymoon phase. I mean, we were just, never it was great. And then I went through her phone two weeks after that and found that she was on Snapchat with the guy. And I confronted her about it, and she said, 'Okay, well, I didn't think you were really gonna change, and I wanted to keep this friendship with the guy.' And she said, 'I'll break it off with him.' And I'm like, 'Okay, I guess I'll give you a second chance. I'm kind of heartbroken again that you would keep this from me. And then about a week and a half later, which was just yesterday, I went through the call logs on which, I feel bad because I'm constantly digging at all this, but every time I dig, I find something. And I confronted her yesterday that she's been talking to this guy for 30, 40, 50 minutes a day, um, the last week and a half, after she told me a third time that she was breaking it off with him. And I'm just super confused. I don't really know how to handle this. Now she's saying that she's all done talking to him, and I'm like, 'Well, how do I trust you now? You've been lying to me for the past three weeks about this.' So, that's really all I got." John Delony: "So for 14 years... you belittled your wife. She got the clear message she was beneath you. You're the smart one, you're the fast one, you're the quick one. You are the provider, you're the all this stuff." Caller: "Mhm. I always thought she was beneath me." John Delony: "Yeah, you did.
