I always wondered "What if I port my three.js game to Rust? Will it improve performance?" I finally ported it to both Rust Desktop and Rust WASM (that runs on the browser) Comparing the three.js version with the Rust desktop I had a clear winner: Rust desktop. But now I took the time to port it to the web using Web Assembly (WASM) And my conclusion is... A tie! Both versions averaged 42FPS (60FPS if running one at a time) So if your goal is to ship a web game, it doesn't even matter the tech you use. (Three.js is recommended because the ecossystem is huge though) As long you optmize well (Web workers, reduce triangles, draw calls, etc) you should be good to go. But in the event you want to ship a native game to publish on Steam a system language (Rust, C++, etc) will be better for you. Now I want to port the three.js game to Desktop using Electron and see the results. I'll let you know. Btw, I'm open to new freelance projects. If you have anything for me, my DMs are open!

I take my notes like this. I created a small script using Claude Code. You just go "jn " and it inserts to YYYY-MM-DD markdown file with a timestamp. Also you can type "jn" to open up all your notes on neovim, and see them by date and timestamp. Less cognitive overload. No need to find names for notes.

They can be tricky to debug, so I created a guide for the Buildcamp students who are currently on the bootcamp. I'm happy to share this with you guys if it helps? It a repeatable process that gets me through 100% of my edge function problems. Just like this post and comment "Bugs" and I'll ping you a copy.

🚁 Adding an Apache attack helicopter today I think I will rewrite the entire flight model today again to be ambiguous of what kind of vehicle it is Planes behave very different than helicopters and different than vehicles like tanks or pedestrians Because people here also requested "Guy with bazooka" so that will be next I have no idea if everyone else is just lying about using AI for their plane models but mine look so clunky (but I like the look), but I now tried with Claude 3.5 and 3.7 and Grok 3 and they all just generate clunky models, not beautiful like you see in other AI vibe coded games, so either they bs'ing or I'm retarded I also have to move sub parts of each model like for 30 minutes until everything fits, AI has a really hard time with 3d models But okay the look is kinda cute

On dolling and my transition, part n. I had decided to doll today and I had recorded an absolutely wonderful session filled with the passion of someone who has been away from it from a long time. Pressed record and it didn't start. Whoops. The 12 seconds is from when I sat on the remote and the menu came up 🫠 anywayssss Was not a waste of time, I gained insight and new questions, of which I'm very happy with. The nature of each mask has changed for me again. I think I'm reconnecting with the doll side and away from the female mask side a bit. It felt like what I was aiming for with the female mask I could do with makeup. I didn't need it. However... I loved using my Moli 茉莉兔兔 Barbie (and holy shit I want one of the new ones, they look incredible) and my Dreammask Studio Q04 (the very functional silicone doll) and feeling the gags silence and objectify me. I missed that. I loved the snugness. I have yet again hit the confusion of "I don't know exactly who I want to play with (doll? Man? Woman? Trans woman?)" I do want to play though, rest assured. On dysphoria, it assures me that bottom surgery is in my future. That said, holy fuck is it ever a procedure. It will derail my life a great deal when it happens. I dont want to doll without the hips, and I imagine my relationship to it will continue to change. I will continue to move how I love to shape my body physically until I hit that target. #femalemask #rubberdoll #trans

For this song, I tried to be imaginative with it. 🐹: I’ve never dated anyone during my student years so I imagined a lot about what it would feel like if students were in a relationship. 🐹: It also reflects a bit of my own personality to lead to kind of childish arguments. I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!
