Varian is a bad example to summarize Jeremy's character type. Think more the greatest showman, jeremy was going to be the voice for "the greatest showman" until huge Jackman came in instead. Lucifer will be more "the greatest showman" vibes rather than Varian:

Ok ... but still my immaginary of Lucifer is someone who has millenias on his back and has a voice of someone who is tired, even if he's masking it with a happy face.

That's kinda on just you then, for a long time I've imaged Lucifer to be more on the "fun" side. So I think Jeremy is the perfect voice, I love this interpretation of Lucifer, just because he isn't a big, loud, deep voice guy doesn't mean he isn't going to be an awesome character
