Governor Whitmer: “There is a rise of antisemitism in America — I’m calling on anyone with a Platform to be very responsible with their rhetoric — not to identify or target the Jewish community. That is antisemitism writ large.” The majority of people with large platforms she is referring to criticize the government of Israel and Netanyahu. That is not antisemitic. Jewish Londoners should never feel unsafe in our city. After the attack in Golders Green, we must stand together against antisemitism and call out hate-driven acts. I’ll continue to work with City Hall and programmes to combat antisemitism and promote community cohesion.
