However, that’s about to end as Khayah Cement re-enters the market BIGLY… When the plant was purchased from Lafarge, it needed comprehensive refurbishment & upgrades. Khayah Cement required 2 years to refurbish the dilapidated plant & that had to be done under Corporate rescue. The upgrades cost US$20 million, a clear sign that the owners of the company are SERIOUS INVESTORS. Now that the refurbished plant is being commissioned, we expect: 1. More people to be employed DIRECTLY & INDIRECTLY. 2. More business activity for both downstream & upstream industries. 3. Cement prices in Zimbabwe will stabilise & even drop. 4. Reduced import bill. 5. More tax revenue for the government. Folks like mawarire mbizvo jealousy, LynneM 💕💝💎 & others have been saying a lot about Khayah Cement but the reality is: Doers focus on DOING while talkers do the TALKING.
