It is sad that things have deteriorated to this extent. Why is the dog owner not charged for dog attacks ? Dogs do not belong to our society. They could attack for whatever reasons even though they may have been domesticated. The fact that it may have been vaccinated only addresses infection risk but the trauma and injury from dog attacks cannot be addressed. Obviously with all the video evidence and the hospitalisation police would have to take up the assault case but trust me this will go around in pet circles as a huge victory for pet owners. I know this from actually seeing this behaviour. Courts have also sided with them. It is unfathomable how human beings in society cannot be safe even from pets. Laws should restrict pets to homes of owners and every attack should lead to humongous costs to pet owners

Animal cruelty case needs to be filed on the pet owners first. Huskies are meant for cold weather and keeping them in the heat of Hyderabad is absolute cruelty. A husky has a thick double fur coat which helps it to stay insulated at temperatures of -30°C, keeping them in south India where average temperatures is +30°C it’s pure cruelty. If someone still doesn’t understand this, then try wearing thick winter clothes meant for -20°C from head to toe for 24hrs and try to live in the heat of 20-30°C. You can even stay inside AC room with 16°C setting, even then you will feel hot and uncomfortable with all that thick insulation, now that husky has to go through that 24/7 for 365 days.

Police inefficiency forced them to become criminals, had police reacted to their complaint they would've remained silent. This is what happens when people looses faith in our system, Its totally system failure.

The dog has died unfortunately. The whole situation could have been avoided ✅ if the dog owner firstly didn't own a Husky like Dog ✅ if he had been responsible with the dog and ✅ if police had done their job and booked the dog owner when the neighbours complained.

Better. As I said earlier, the brutal assault was uncalled for on family and the dog. The beating, did not look like an immediate response. It was a planned attack (as per CCTV). Thanks @sudhakarudumula for the update👍🏻

You can't imagine how helpless you feel after dog bite. Nobody will listen to you n if you make more noise you will be labelled as dog hater n very next day you will see the same person flaunting the dog in the same manner coz he is aware that dog is more precious than your life.

Rabies is a highly fatal and infectious disease...anyone who gets bitten by dogs should be eligible for compensation legally. unfortunate that in india still many people still dying from rabies.. if you can afford to have a car you should afford insurance too. there should be a system to record such incidents and readily accessible public record so that repeat offenders can be identified...this person should be fined for not leashing and keeping the mouth of dog fitted when in public... dog lover myself but pet owners should understand the above measures of keeping pets leashed with closed mouths would stop spreading of rabies among the dogs itself and also spreading to humnans...poor pet owners can any way get free vaccinations for pets...its important to raise awareness about being responsible in a nation which is overcrowded and unsafe streets where most people would have limited access of roads when they are on road.

@myself_tanishka – Most of these pajeets shouldn't be let to have dogs, because they take little concern in other's legit concerns. If tears are to roll, blame the owner for this, and blame the domestication of foreign breeds.

A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in broad daylight at the BC Road bus stand in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district on Thursday evening, sending shockwaves across Karnataka. The victim, identified as Lavanya, a resident of Kakkepadavu, worked at a private nursing home in Kalladka. Police said the accused, identified as Chethan, allegedly attacked her with a machete after she repeatedly rejected his advances. He was arrested within hours near Vamanjoor-Pacchanadi on the outskirts of Mangaluru following a coordinated police operation. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over crimes linked to harassment and one-sided obsession. Police have registered a murder case and launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the attack. According to the police, Lavanya was returning home from work on Thursday, 16 July, at around 6 pm. She had boarded a KSRTC bus from Bantwal to Kakkepadavu after finishing her shift at the private nursing home in Kalladka. Police said Chethan, who is believed to be a distant relative of the victim, boarded the same bus and sat next to her. The accused had allegedly been pursuing Lavanya despite her repeatedly rejecting his advances. Sensing something was wrong, Lavanya reportedly called one of her relatives and informed them that a young man had sat beside her on the bus. The call was disconnected shortly afterwards. After Lavanya got off the bus at the BC Road bus stand, the accused allegedly followed her. Police said he then took out a machete from a bag and chased her. Despite her attempt to escape, he allegedly attacked her repeatedly before fleeing the scene. Police personnel from the Bantwal subdivision and Bantwal Town Police Station rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation. Lavanya, who sustained critical injuries, was immediately shifted to Bantwal Taluk Hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries despite efforts to save her. After the attack, the accused allegedly fled towards Mangaluru in an Alto car. During his escape, he reportedly called Lavanya's father and told him that he had killed his daughter and intended to end his own life. Acting swiftly, the Bantwal subdivision police formed a special investigation team. Using mobile phone location data and CCTV footage, officers traced and arrested the accused along with the vehicle near Vamanjoor-Pacchanadi on the outskirts of Mangaluru. Police sources said the accused had allegedly created a disturbance at the private hospital where Lavanya worked about a month earlier. Hospital staff reportedly intervened and prevented the situation from escalating. Investigators are now examining whether the absence of a formal police complaint after the earlier incident contributed to the tragedy. Bantwal Town Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.

On the morning of 11:30am on 22nd October he along with three of his relatives Kamran, Salman and Nasir were abducted from the roadside by Police Officials of SIU/CIA who registered no case, did not cause any formal arrest and subject the youth to torture resulting in his death after which they left his body at JPMC. The families got a call from police on the night of 23rd Oct to come and collect the three boys. The Police trying to cover their steps registered a bogus and illegal FIR under the wrong provisions of law through SHO SIU/CIA as Sadr PS under Section 319 PPC which relates to Qatl-e-khata and is a bailable offence. This is a case of murder under Section 302 PPC punishable under Section 9 of the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Act 2022 which mandates tries all guilty police officials including all aiders and abettors. They were not involved during the Post mortem of the body and have not been provided any report as yet. Under the Custodial Torture law any and all investigating is exclusive mandate of FIA under the supervision of National Commission of Human Rights. We demand that National Commission for Human Rights takes immediate notice of this incident and a Complaint be registered with FIA without further delay, the police official be arrested and proper investigation be launched against Irfan's custodial death and without wasting any time the testimony of Salman, Kamran and Nasir be preserved by recording their statements under Section 164 Cr.P.C before magistrate. #JusticeForIrfan
