Update on Mask Bans in Nassau County:

I'm glad to hear this news. That mask ban needs to go.

I'm high risk, and my mom has cancer. These mask bans scare tf outta me. I already barely leave the house

Next they will just ban surgeons from wearing masks, the logic will somehow logic. Why not ban shoes next?

Thank you. I'm a lawyer & my first thought when I read about the ban was, but what about the ADA? The harm the ban causes far, far outweighs the claimed justification for the ban. I can think of few more important freedoms than protecting one's own health.

You are providing a great service by spreading the word! This scientific study (you may already be aware of it) also undercuts the claimed basis for the ban: Scientific Reports, "Face masks are less effective than sunglasses in masking face identity":

Did you wear a mask before 2020? Of course not. Masks do nothing for you, that’s why they’re not part of a medical treatment plan.

I still mask at my day job. A ban like this is total nonsense. 😔
