At some level I respect the plan to organize a press event as a way to draw attention to an important issue. On the other hand, it's vitally important to remember that NYPD isn't empowered to decided which judge's orders are valid and which are not. And rightfully so! An armed police force that ignored orders from our justice system would be very dangerous. So let's not put this on NYPD. Let's put it on our elected officials who write the laws and on the court system that interprets them.
