Update from Universal Ostrich Farms Many of the RCMP vehicles have pulled back, there appears to be a skeleton crew here and all of the outward facing spotlights are now off. It looks like the cfia might be getting ready to head out during the night. The RCMP are likely to remain while the fences are taken down. CFIA, RCMP, it's time to leave and let this family grieve.

I hope to return to Peru in the new year to catch up on the historic excavations taking place at Sacsayhuamán, one of the most fascinating megalithic sites in the world. It was a privilege to be one of the first to go down into the main excavation zone, seeing structural evidence deep below the surface, potential entrances into the fabled labyrinth. Work has now extended out into the City of Cusco itself, who knows what they might find, it's a very exciting project underway.
