#WATCH | Assam: The first commercial run of India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Kamakhya (KYQ) and Howrah (HWH) started its journey from Kamakhya railway junction earlier this evening. The train started its maiden commercial journey on January 22 from Kamakhya & is scheduled to start its journey with effect from January 23 from Howrah. The Kamakhya – Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between the Northeast and Eastern India, offering modern amenities, improved travel time and a world – class overnight travel experience.

First time in Indian Railways: 2 Vande Bharat services have been officially discontinued due to low occupancy. In a first for Indian Railways, the Udaipur-Agra Cantt and Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat trains have been withdrawn due to poor patronage. The same rake will now be redeployed as the Udaipur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat, which is expected to be flagged off soon. I feel this is a great step to utilise resources efficiently. Vande Bharat trains that are running with low occupancy should be discontinued, and the rakes should be tested on alternate routes. What’s your take? #IndianRailways
