A Las Vegas live show venue, the Dolby Theatre inside Park MGM, appears to be price gouging guests by selling absurdly expensive & over priced basic drinks & adding excessive “admin” fees. This was what two visitors experienced at a recent Zayn Malik show. This is exactly what turns people away from visiting our city & exposing these antics will help future visitors make informed decisions. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #concerts

Las Vegas travel hack to get free hotel rooms, food, show tickets and more. The only consistent way to avoid resort fees & parking charges is with a loyalty players card. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is an exceptional stay and easily the nicest overall stay on the Strip. What you may not realize is that they’re affordable, while still delivering a luxury experience. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel

Las Vegas has been due for a market correction for awhile now and on a recent walk through budget resort Excalibur, I noticed a change in the messaging. The focus seems to be on deals, happy hour & affordable food and entertainment. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #budgettravel

More & more Las Vegas hotels are rolling out all inclusive options, deals and extra value packages for visitors on a budget. The latest is from Circa, Circa Las Vegas downtown on Fremont Street, and it may be the most affordable vacation offer yet. No resort fees, one flat price, food, beverages & a daybed at Stadium Swim. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #allinclusive

A live flamingo named Peachy was stolen by an intoxicated tourist in Las Vegas on Tuesday March 3rd. Michael Fairborn, a Canadian visitor and guest of the Flamingo hotel, took the bird back to his room & took multiple selfies with it before his arrest. Peachy is expected to recover from the incident. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #flamingo

Here is a quick room tour of the Ultra Boulevard Suite at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. I booked the “random room type assigned at check in” because I love the mystery of seeing what I’ll get. I was not prepared for a giant swing. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #hotel

Two (more) Las Vegas visitors are claiming they were stung by scorpions while they slept. Both of the incidents allegedly occurred at Silver Sevens resort hotel. This follows a 2024 headline where a man claims he was stung while sleeping at Venetian. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #scorpion #travel

Update on the OYO Las Vegas & the fake AI generated hotel they created “Palette” to trick guests into booking, only to refuse them a refund & force them to stay somewhere that’s dirty & smells bad. OYO ranks among the worst in Vegas with broken elevators & air conditioners with stained walls & bedding. Thanks to your help all of the reputable travel sites have removed the listing & for now at least, this predatory scam has been paused. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #hotel

I usually take the “Las Vegas is too expensive” rhetoric with a grain of salt because cheap & affordable are all relative to your budget. This coffee find in an all-suite higher end hotel is excessive I think by any standard. $16 for a DIY drink kit is a little tone deaf, even if it’s convenient. This is at W, an MGM hotel on Las Vegas Blvd. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #hotel

One of the worst hustles in Las Vegas are the agents of scam, timeshare sales people & body snatchers. They pretend to be resort customer service agents placed strategically for guest assistance, but they really prey upon tourists on vacations with predatory high pressure sales. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #scammer #travel

This just feels like a blatant money grab from Simon Malls at the South Premium Outlets in Las Vegas. Is paying for “premium” or up front pricing going to be the new standard? Are we going to need to pay extra according to proximity to the front, like choosing an airline seat? We should not support this. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #news #travel

This is the most affordable room available at Aria Las Vegas. The deluxe king is large, clean and has a few extra amenities to make it feel like a luxury hotel. The real reason to stay at Aria is the location. Its center strip, surrounded by great food & plenty to do. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel

This is the lowest price I’ve seen at a major Las Vegas resort in a long time. This room was under $15 at Excalibur Hotel on a Sunday night in January of 2026. I booked direct through MGM. This is definitely a budget resort and not everyone’s cup of tea. Would you stay here? #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #hotel
