A woman died and her husband was injured in a hit-and-run incident in #Mumbai's #Worli when a BMW car rammed their scooter early on Sunday. The car was being driven allegedly by #MihirShah, the son of a leader of #ShivSena led by #Maharashtra Chief Minister #EknathShinde. The 24-year-old man has been absconding since the incident. Rajesh Shah, Mihir Shah's father and the deputy leader of the Shinde Sena in #Palghar district, has been detained by the police. The BMW was registered in his name, according to the police. Upon arrival, police located a man in his 40s in medical distress, as well as a woman in her 30s who had sustained injuries. The man was pronounced deceased on scene & the woman was transported to hospital in stable condition. A witness was also located at the scene who was uninjured. After a thorough investigation, police believe that the man had lured the woman to the residence under a false pretence of a property showing. While in the residence, the man attacked the woman without provocation. An altercation ensued, which resulted in the death of the man. The woman was able to escape the residence & get the attention of neighbours, who called 911. The man & woman were not involved in a domestic relationship. An autopsy was conducted today, Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, by The Office of the Chief Medical, which identified the man as 48-year-old Shahbaz AHMED. As investigators have determined that the woman was acting in self-defence, AHMED’s death has been deemed a non-culpable homicide & no charges will be laid in this incident. “An incident of this nature is extremely rare & deeply unsettling for the victim, her family & all Calgarians,” says Acting Staff Sergeant Scott Guterson of the CPS Homicide Unit. “The victim’s actions undoubtedly saved her life & our thoughts are with her as she continues to recover.” To protect the privacy of the victim, no further details will be released. Last Saturday, an extremely cruel bullying incident took place in the city of Jiangyou(江油) China. The 14-year old victim was almost tortured to death by another girl who is the daughter of the deputy chief of the city´s Police Dept. After offenders uploaded their own footages to social media, the local community became angry. Yesterday they went to the city hall demanding punishment of the offenders, and protest against the handling of the incident by local police. The police soon started cracking down the protest, beat up protesters and arrested many participants. The people who were arrested had been dumped to a truck that is for shipping pigs. I can't play the footage of the bullying incident here due to violation of X policy.

Sinmi Asomuyide, 33, was found guilty by the US Department of Justice after a 5-day trial on charges that he s*xually assaulted the 14-year-old and lied to investigators to cover up his act. Asomuyide, a former police officer in Kokomo, Indiana, met the teenager after being tasked with following up on the runaway as a probationary officer. The teen told investigators that Asomuyide picked her up, but instead of dropping her off at a local youth center, Asomuyide kept her in the car and asked her inappropriate questions. Asomuyide then asked for her number, tracking her phone to her home before handcuffing her, forcing her into his patrol car, and assaulting her. I wanted to find out what the city was doing about my report that Allen lives in Idaho and sleeps in the police station. Raises all sorts of issues. I wanted to take another shot at questioning Allen and had to be quick on my feet. He left the meeting right after public comment, and an officer who was with him tried to block my way. I caught Allen as he walked into the police station and asked, "Eamonn, have you found a place to stay besides the police station?" Watch below. The issue caused tensions to rise at the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors last night. I'll have the latest on the news at 5 and 6 tonight, and online after.
