Another 135Km to be added to the nations paved road network! The Kyenjojo (Kihura) – Bwizi – Rwamwanja – Kahunge (68km) and Mpara – Bwizi (37km) roads are set for upgrading to paved (bituminous) standard; The Contract for the construction has been awarded to M/s The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman &Co). The Prime Minister NABBANJA ROBINAH Is expected to break ground for the construction of the 105km and 20km town roads. The project roads will be upgraded to Class II Bituminous Standard paved roads, which will include carriageways that are 7.0 meters wide and shoulders that are 1.5 to 2.0 meters wide. Additionally, sections of the roads in three key urban/trading centers will be rebuilt to dual carriageways, complete with parking lanes and walkways.

Governor Otti always bursting the bubbles of Ndi Abia! Just in: he inspected the long-abandoned Ovom Road, which had been destroyed by erosion and neglected by the past administration. As a true leader and servant of the state, he immediately began reconstruction of the road. The residents’ joy was evident when they saw him. Governor Otti is not doing all of this for praise, but to ensure his people are happy and for the citizens to enjoy the prosperity these projects will bring into their lives. 🎥: Kelex Ofoedu

I was at Aba to inspect a couple of roads that are undergoing rehabilitation. I am happy with the progress of work, particularly at Cemetry Road. The contractor has also taken the initiative to desilt the drainage system, which demonstrates their commitment to ensuring a long-lasting and sustainable road infrastructure. It is worth noting that the rehabilitation efforts extend beyond Cemetry Road, with a total of nine roads currently undergoing partial and comprehensive rehabilitation. All the roads are being handled by reputable companies, including CCECC, Craneburg, and MCC. Regardless of the weather conditions, we remain dedicated to the task of rebuilding Aba for the benefit of our people.

We are delighted to provide an update on the ongoing reconstruction of the Akute–Lambe–Agbado Road in Ifo Constituency II, Phase 1, covering a 9.2-kilometre stretch, including sections of major adjoining roads. So far, commendable progress has been recorded. Scarification of all failed sections has been carried out, involving the removal of defective asphalt and the excavation of unsuitable materials. These have been replaced with quality backfill sourced from the borrow pit, thereby ensuring a solid and lasting foundation for the new road. In the next phase, our engineers will proceed with replacing all remaining unsuitable materials with quality laterite, followed by drainage excavation and construction. This crucial step will guarantee effective water flow, prevent erosion, and sustain the durability of the road. Our commitment goes beyond simply constructing roads—we are delivering resilient infrastructure that enhances ease of movement, promotes commerce, and improves the daily lives of our people in Ifo Local Government and across Ogun State.
