Public illumination: Tonight, we visited Zithobeni, in Bronkhorstspruit, to witness the public illumination of streets in this area for the first time in decades. The city has installed 73 streetlights in Rethabiseng and 28 streetlights in Zithobeni Ext 4. We joined residents, local councillors and the MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo to energise these streetlights. We want our communities to be accessible day and night and this project will ensure that this objective is achieved. Last year, the city conducted similar programmes in Rama City and Hammanskraal. We plan to do more this year in more communities. City of Tshwane

We can see the massive leap between the GTA V map and GTA VI. In Vice City (VI), Rockstar has delivered multiple distinct cities and regions, giving the world a richer and more varied feel. GTA V’s Los Santos and Blaine County map always felt cramped one big city with countryside tacked on and never truly captured the scale of an entire state like the original San Andreas did in 2004. San Andreas was groundbreaking for blending three major cities (Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas) with deserts, mountains, forests, and rural areas, making it feel like a living American state. GTA V, by comparison, felt like a detailed slice of California rather than the full experience. I’m hoping Rockstar brings that same San Andreas-level ambition to GTA VI. Without any consultation with our community, a decision was made to raise the flag of the terrorist and criminal “Republic of Kosovo” at Daley Plaza. This is an occupied territory that remains deeply painful for the Serbian people as this land is the centerpiece of our religion, culture and identity. For our community, this act is not symbolic or fun, it is a political statement that directly insults us. This action is unacceptable. If this terrorist flag of so called Republic of Kosovo is raised again in our city without dialogue or consideration of our community, you should expect a highly visible public protest at levels you’ve never seen before. We demand that this issue be addressed immediately. Engage with our community. Show respect for the people who have built this city. Do not repeat this mistake. Do not think to insult us like this ever again.

Stormwind was the first city we ever built. Our lead programmer had it load and play the song "We built this city" to our surprise when we first loaded in. The first version of Stormwind had no districts or canals. The framerate was below terrible. Then I thought of Venice. I grabbed a map of the city and slapped it down on the table the next morning. THIS, I said, is how we'll partition the city, drawing only the district you can see, separated by canals. It worked, and Stormwind was born.
