I’m a para at an elementary school. The situation is so bad that people are leaving the district just so that they can get a job that isn’t a living hell. I was hired with literally no experience and no training before I started. This needs to be fixed

This. With a mostly non-verbal autistic son, I am always concerned with what is happening in class on a daily basis. I recently met with the principal and switched his teacher to one I trust more. Society is failing our children.

@CoachCousin Sped teachers need more support, that’s the main issue. This para isn’t wrong, but there’s a better way to go about it then trying to get clout at the same time. Shouldn’t have been fired though

I hope he gets a lawyer. This information is important. Why would you leave someone unsupported with children who need more support than others due to having special needs. They don’t care in real life. That’s why they fired him.
