UPDATE: This will be the 5th underground tunnel spanning tens of kms being built in different parts of Aba in the last 2 years+. These alongside the existing tunnels by Dee Mbakwe desilted throughout the city by the Otti admin will permanently solve the issue of flooding in Aba.

Today, Governor Otti attended The Fashion Games 2025, a Fashion Future program organized by Ethnocentrique Limited as the graduation event for 2,000 youths trained and upskilled in fashion design. The program showcases Africa's creative excellence following a year-long training initiative in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and in collaboration with the Abia State Government, held at the Enyimba International Stadium. JUST IN: Abia state has now completed the full acquisition of Afro Beverages Ltd located in Aba from AMCON after completing the payment outlined in the takeover terms. This follows the full payment and take over of The Star Paper Mill in Aba a few weeks ago. The Abia state government led by Gov. Alex Otti is now considering bids from Private partners who will then assume control of these two companies to run them efficiently under the strict guidance of the state. The aim is to boost the industrial capacity of Abia and create more jobs and employment in the state. 🇮🇱 IDF SEALS 2 KM OF HAMAS TUNNELS WITH CONCRETE Two Hamas tunnels spanning a combined two kilometers underground have been located and sealed by IDF combat engineers in central and southern Gaza. Rather than destroying them with explosives, Israeli forces filled the tunnels with concrete — permanently denying Hamas access to the underground infrastructure while reducing some of the risks involved in demolition operations. Another 2 kilometers of Hamas’ terror network removed from the battlefield.

Abia Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has announced plans to establish a seaport in the state. The project which will be located in Owazza, Ụkwa East LGA Abia state. The Obidient governor made this announcement at the ongoing South-East Security Summit in Owerri, Imo state. He also announced that the flag off of the seaport will be done together with the Abia industrial and innovation park, located on over 1,000 hectares of land. It would host multiple layers of businesses including modular refineries and petrochemical and fertiliser plants. He also revealed several other chains of enterprises that would take advantage of the oil and gas deposits in Ukwa, nearness to Aba and Port Harcourt cities.
