Im openly disabled, queer, and living in florida… this entire situation has been so demoralizing. I saw someone lay out a timeline on how to reverse all things terrible rulings and they said it could take 25-40yrs. The direction the country is headed has me seriously depressed.

I keep thinking back to when these SCOTUS candidates kept saying in their confirmation hearings that they can’t/don’t/won’t comment on hypotheticals.

So everyone can make up stories, to file a lawsuit for a hypothetical situation they could end up in and they could even produce false evidence to make their case?

Absolutely heinous. It also begs the question of the legitimacy of lawsuits AND the legitimacy of the SCOTUS, itself. If they can try made up cases with made-up defendants, can they just make up laws to suit their political views? It's almost hard to fathom. But, here we are.
