There is a sick bird at Universal Ostrich Farms. The owners don't believe CFIA is properly caring for the bird and are requesting their veterinarian check on and treat the bird. RCMP relay that CFIA is willing to let the vet see the bird tomorrow. Tomorrow could be too late!

Unusual Warrants The warrant used to seize and hold the Garlic Farm property does not have the names of the property owners, it names Universal Ostrich Farms, a completely separate property with completely different owners. All of the alleged possible offenses in the warrant would be the responsibility of UOF, not the Garlic Farm owners. ⚖️Any lawyers out there?? 🇨🇦🪶😡 : Universal Ostrich Farm owner Katie Pasitney points out the ostriches and farm owners are being maliciously punished by the Canadian government & Supreme Court of Canada. An ostrich hen who was spooked by a low flying government drone ran through a fence yesterday and is hurt (👀Pic inserted by me into the video). The CFIA is refusing to let the farm owners treat the hen and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has proven to be incompetent in providing care for the injured bird. I guess the CFIA specialize in killing birds but not caring for them. So why did the Supreme Court rule that CFIA should be placed in charge of the ostriches welfare? I am not a lawyer, so I must ask all of you, can Katie & Karen file a motion to replace the CFIA as caregivers, based on the CFIA not being able to provide humane care? If Katie & Karen are not allowed to care for the birds, only someone else who is competent should be placed in charge of their well being. At this point the Supreme Court of Canada has empowered animal cruelty, which is not the role of the Supreme Court.

The CFIA is attempting to corral the ostriches using a net, the birds don’t seem to be having it. Run pretty birds, run. I may not agree with how everything has been handled by the owners of Universal Ostrich Farms however as an animal lover, this is devastating to watch.

Today appears to be the day folks. In winter the CFIA showed up in full PPE. Today not one is wearing masks and no one seems concerned at all about a virus. This is about taking people off their land, killing their animals and then likely forcing the farm owners into bankruptcy so their property can be taken over. This is evil and intentional. The RCMP are all in because they want promotions so they can do security detail for MPs who fly around the world and stay at the best hotels, eating the best food & drinking the best wine.

So who is the government protecting exactly when they refuse to follow their own protocols, while forcing the farm owners to go through all of this, for 10 months? Like Karen says, BC has lost millions of chickens, turkeys & soon ostriches, while wild ducks freely fly all over the place and will likely infect any new ostriches brought to the farm. Dave, owner of Universal Ostrich Farm in BC, was allowed to enter the pens today for a very brief period. He was alarmed by what he saw. Why is the CFIA making vague statements to media fueling fear? The CFIA mobilized an army of RCMP to seize this farm and all they could find is 1 ostrich "with compromised health?" This is an absolute abuse of power. Is the 1 animal in "compromised health" the hen who panicked and broke its leg on a fence because of the authorities' buzzing the birds with drones? Why is the bird not being given the medical care it needs? 📷 Jim Kerr

No doubt the ostriches panicked and ran frantically around as the shots rang out, hour after hour. The government did this to ensure the farm owners & protesters could hear every single shot fired. CFIA overreach accelerates as neighbour's property seized, threatened with arrest The CFIA has expanded its seizure of land to a family independent of Universal Ostrich Farms, restricting the owners from their own home and garden. In the latest twist of the Universal Ostrich Farms vs. Canadian Food Inspection Agency standoff, Rebel News is exposing how the CFIA’s overreach has expanded beyond the farmers and their avian-flu immune ostriches, and onto the property of their neighbours. While on site, we spoke with Alyson Turnbull, niece of ostrich farm co-owner Karen Espersen and cousin to farm spokesperson, Katie Pasitney. Turnbull explained her immediate families' shock and horror to come home to much of her mother’s land being seized for the CFIA cull mission while they were away from the home. The property, which borders the farmers' property, was never deemed a “dangerous zone” until this past September, just before the CFIA was granted a “warrant to search” under the Health of Animals Act, section 34. Despite not being involved in the ostrich farm operation, the family has been treated like criminals; RCMP remain stationed at their property around the clock while the Supreme Court deliberates whether the CFIA’s cull order can proceed. When Alyson tried to get answers as to why they were being restricted and told they can’t even harvest their own garlic, an RCMP officer told her that the CFIA “has control of your property” and that they were being “gracious enough” to allow them to access to the house only. She was later warned via text by a liaison officer to remember, that according to CFIA, Alyson could not go into her mom’s “property without first emailing them” and cautioned that the CFIA could order her arrest if she did not comply. The overreach mirrors the same heavy-handed approach that Alyson’s aunt and cousin, Karen and Katie, faced when being arrested shortly after the CFIA descended to their properties, because the ostrich farmers insisted on humanely caring for their birds until the CFIA was lawfully able to cull them. A list of “Judgements to be rendered on leave applications” for this week do not list the “UoF vs CFIA” case, which means the cull will likely remain paused this week. More concerning news from Universal Ostrich Farms. The ostriches that were in the sick pen have been chased out by the CFIA and are now wondering out in general population. If these birds get picked on they will have no way of defending themselves leading to further injuries.

CFIA agents have spent the morning corralling ostriches out of the front pens and back towards the kill pen, likely in preparation for tomorrow's decision. We will be up early tomorrow for the proceedings to start at 9:45 Eastern, 6:45 Pacific

🪶🔥👮 : CPC MP Scott Anderson rightfully says that Canadians across Canada are demanding answers over the abuse of authority around the Universal Ostrich Farm in British Columbia. Not only has the CFIA not tested the birds, they disabled security cameras on the farm, hours after an arson attack Sept 24th (Left pic). Today the CFIA and RCMP have put up a black barrier (see inserted top left pic) & another fire has broken out. The farm owners are not allowed to tend to the ostriches. It's like a WAKO style standoff, yet no one is resisting the government. Canadians do have a right to be heard and I am sorry if some in the CPC are upset that so many of us called the CPC out, for not speaking up until the very last minute. It's not a crime to call politicians out, even when you vote for them. I personally voted for Scott Anderson to be the CPC candidate for my riding and voted for him to be our MP. I praised him in March 2025 for standing up for the farmers, before he even became CPC candidate. I am very pleased with his statement and encourage criminal charges against the CFIA for disabling security cameras, on private property, after a crime was committed.
