It does die off in winter. Judging by the foul stink of the Juksei near Northern Farms sewage works yesterday morning there was millions of litres of raw sewage pouring in again over the weekend. Give it 3 weeks of hot weather and the hyacinth will be back 🙁

Double edge sword meneer, the hyacinth cleans the water... now Haarties is pumped full of raw sewage daily because of the townships up river. There is about to be a massive explosion of bacteria / cholera and every other disease known to man 🤮🤮🤮
