Lina and Sophie had the hardest imaginable first year on this planet but oh how their lives have changed for the better... Since they were born a year ago… 🇹🇭 Lived on the streets in Thailand 🐕 Grew up as puppies on a construction site 🪨 Had people throw rocks at them to chase them away 🦠 We were given 24 hours to rescue them or they would be poisoned 🤒 Shortly after rescuing them they got Parvo. They lost their little brother but they both survived. It was touch and go for 2 whole weeks on a drip in the vets 😳 They were in quarantine for another 4 weeks and become utterly terrified of all humans 📆 After months of slowly training and meeting their new owners who came to visit they slowly came out of their shells. ✈️ Their next challenge was their flight to England to their forever homes. These 2 girls have overcome all that in just 1 year and look at them now. They are still slowly settling in and decompressing but look at their happy little faces. Lina and Sophie are both fully home 🏡

This is the Turkish Commando Training School in Isparta. Hundreds of members of an elite Somali commando unit have graduated from a training program in Türkiye under a bilateral agreement aimed at strengthening the Somali Armed Forces. During their time in training, the soldiers also developed strong skills in the Turkish language, to the level of near-native fluency. Many Somalis are interested in learning the language as well. The question is, how easy is it to learn Turkish, and how many years does it typically take for someone to become fluent?

You can rarely see something like this. Hungarian PM Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek) was walking with Austria’s Chancellor Christian Stocker in the middle of his official visit in Vienna, when Magyar started randomly his usual live broadcast - from this point talking many times in Hungarian to the home audience from next to the chancellor. Although the live itself is not rare from Péter Magyar, as from the beginning since he joined politics in 2024 they are doing live broadcast from their different events, as for example he had a live stream from every place where he held a forum during this past two years. Looks like they are keeping this tradition alive after winning the parliamentary elections, and they continue this from government as well. We can see live streams every day from different occasions, such as these first foreign routes. The new prime minister together with his government delegation is on their first foreign routes, in the past days they were in Poland, in Kraków, Warsaw and Gdańsk, where PM Magyar met with PM Tusk and President Nawrocki, and now they are in their second country in Austria, in Vienna. In an [About Jeans] vlog, Minji and Hanni gave a quick tour of their dorm. Each of the girls had her own room, with the freedom to decorate and furnish it however they liked. You could tell it meant a lot to them; they even got teary-eyed while thanking CEO Min Hee-jin. Getting a place like that right after such a very successful debut must have felt overwhelming… in a good way. Not only were they paid early, but they also moved into a space where they could feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home. In a July 2024 interview with the members’ parents, their moms spoke about the conditions the girls endured during their trainee days at Source Music. While this isn’t unique to NewJeans, since many K-pop trainees go through harsh schedules and difficult living situations, it still puts things into perspective. Minji, in particular, was reportedly pressured to give up school. But because training was so tough, school became her only real source of joy. Even under those circumstances, she pushed herself to get into a school and continue her education alongside training. When asked about trainee life during a Phoning live, Minji shared that training became much more bearable and she felt more at ease and happy once she met the other members… a reminder of how much they relied on each other through that period. So having their own dorm as rookies must have felt surreal. After everything they went through, they were finally in an environment where they were treated like they really mattered… where their comfort, individuality, and well-being were prioritized. Today, these young souls visited Waheed Ur Rehman Para's residence with heavy hearts & little hope. The RESERVATION ISSUE has made them restless as they see no future for themselves. Their faces were speaking volumes. Instead of chasing their dreams in colleges & libraries, they have been left with no options by the NC led Govt but to knock on doors of those they see as a ray of hope, pleading for a future that has been brutally ripped away from them. These brilliant minds deserve to rise, not be reduced to begging for what is rightfully theirs. It is gut-wrenching to see their potential hijacked by uncertainty. They should be exploring, learning, and growing and satisfying their curiosity, and not fighting for a chance to exist, for basic survival.

‘They just want the dignity of being confirmed in their sex … or their ‘adopted sex’, if you like.’ I wonder if this is the kind of person the BBC’s Nick Robinson had in mind when he made this comment during a recent BBC Radio 4 interview about the EHRC’s guidance on single-sex spaces. And I wonder whether he realises that, if people were entitled to have their ‘adopted sex’ recognised under equality law, women would be unable to exclude men like this from their changing rooms, toilets and even domestic violence refuges. I also wonder whether he would want that for his wife or daughter. Or feel it was ‘dignified.’

They have worked tirelessly for two years, honing their skills, practicing their strategies and overcoming every obstacle that came their way. They have faced doubts, criticism and discrimination, but they never let that stop them. They have always believed in themselves and in each other. They have always supported and encouraged one another. They have always played with passion, courage and excellence. And today, they have proven to the world that they are the best. They have made history as the only girls-only line up to ever win a official BGMI event. Unlike other animals who just eat and rest, mongooses are generally active throughout the day. In their troop, every one has a role. Some will be assigned the digging role. They'll dig the their burrows. Others will take on sentry duties like soldiers, looking out for enemies. Some will take on babysitting roles. Others are bricklayers and builders who repair their dilapidated homes and so on. Now, imagine bringing that home. What you'll get is an animal that's extremely hyper, curious, and destructive; they never fully tame. Your chair, table, books, name it...they can get destroyed! They can also bite when they're playing with you. Trust me, their snake-killing teeth are very sharp. They also have a very strong musky odor that's produced from their anal glands and it is impossible to fully eliminate. They're also very smart and would escape from wherever you put them as soon as they get the slightest chance. You get the idea now?
