The dog looked much bigger than he really was because years of matted fur and built-up dirt had covered his body, making every step heavy and difficult. When he was finally brought to safety, he quietly pressed himself against the wall, trembling and too frightened to even look at anyone. Removing the thick, tangled coat was done slowly, gently, and with great care. As several kilograms of matted fur were trimmed away, his body gradually became lighter, and he could move much more comfortably. His emotional healing came little by little as well. Through gentle voices, patient care, and a calm, steady environment, he slowly became less fearful, stopped trembling, and began to look around with quiet curiosity. Before long, one kind person became the first he trusted enough to greet with a gentle wag of his tail. Even today, he is still a little cautious around strangers. But when the person he trusts is by his side, his little tail begins to wag happily again. Bit by bit, curiosity has replaced fear, and cheerful barks have become part of his days. His journey is a reminder that patience, kindness, and love can help a heart that has been hurt learn to trust again. ❤️

This is crazy. It reminds me of 2011. Friday, 26 August 2011. Last day of Census training at IUM in town. Gazza's wife, pregnant at that time, was our Supervisor. Everybody left except me and 3/4 ladies. She asked that I help her carry boxes to a car outside. I carry 3 heavy boxes, one on top of the other. I get to the street and there's only a white KIA sedan in parallel parking with Gazza inside. I walked to the car, standing outside the front passenger side with boxes, talking to him. He looks at me and continues operating on his phone. I leave him alone. He doesn't know me, so I get it. I kept standing and waiting for the wife who was carrying her bag and 2 more lighter boxes. The wife comes. The guy opens the boot and remains seated. The wife puts down her boxes, opens the boot and one by one takes off 2 of the 3 boxes I was carrying , loading them into the boot. We loaded hers, she thanked me, got in the car, and they drove off. Maybe that's just how Gazza acts/acted back then - unresponsive.

HAPPY DOCTORS DAY!! ❤️🩺❤️ As a child I was always amused that people called my father “Dr. Sahab” He wasn’t a doctor. He was a clerk in the Forest department. For years. I wondered why? Then one day I discovered the reason. My father always carried a few basic medicines in his pocket! Something for a headache, a cold, a stomach ache. Whoever needed help he would quietly take out a tablet and say, “Ye lelo! Theek ho Jaogee!” That’s all it took. In our neighbourhood, he became DOCTOR SAAB. Maybe that’s why the word Dr. has always meant much more to me than just a profession. It has always meant comfort, trust and reassurance. Over the years, I have been fortunate to know some extraordinary doctors who have become family.🥹 Dr. RK Agrawal has been part of my life for the last 45 years! When I came to Mumbai in 1981 and was doing Theatre at Prithvi Theatre, his clinic was close by. A doctor became a friend! And that friendship has lasted a lifetime. Dr. Anantpal Singh is one of the most compassionate human beings I know. His little Clinic in Juhu is always full. Not because it’s fancy, but because his heart is. Rich or poor, everyone is treated with the same warmth and dignity.😍 Then there is Dr. Vishal Sawant. Officially he takes care of my mental well-being. Unofficially we talk about Sports, films, Theatre and food. Every conversation with him leaves me lighter. My trusted eye specialist, Dr Ryan D’Souza and my wonderful Dentist Dr. Sandesh Mayekar- both exceptional doctors and better human beings. Dr Maulik checked my heart once with total heartfelt heart. And Touchwood everything is good so far! His confidence and reassuring smile was a great source of comfort.❤️‍🩹 The beautiful thing is that I don’t meet these incredible doctors only when I need a treatment. Sometimes I simply drop in just to ask,” Dr. Sahab Aap Kaise Hai? Because relationships shouldn’t exist only in times of need! 😍😍 So today on #DoctorsDay, I want to thank not just these wonderful doctors but every Doctor Who has dedicated their life to making ours healthier safer and happier.
