He will now receive the care, love, and protection that every dog deserves. Yday we presented on the 'State of UK Rescue' in Westminster to the all-party parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group APDAWG This was our presentation which was set to a background video about kennel-free rescue. It was inspiring to listen to fellow rescue organisations share their experiences. We met passionate rescuers and animal welfare advocates including @missdianemorgan and we truly believe that by working together we can have a greater voice for the dogs who need our help. This woman reserved a ride with Lyft. When the driver showed up, he pointed to her service dog and said no, and took off. She says this happens all the time and his vest clearly says “service dog”. She suffers from seizures and has to have the dog with her at all times. Many pointed out that there is an option to select that you have an animal and someone from Lyft who picks up animals will take the reservation. But, it does cost more. But others pointed out that her dog is not a pet, it’s a service animal and by law, they cannot refuse the ride. Some stated that they would refuse the ride too because she didn’t let them know she had a dog and some drivers may have a fear of dogs or be allergic to them. So what’s the solution? Should she sue them for violating the ADA act? Should she pay more for an animal allowed ride and if so, why does she have to pay more? NEW: Woman arrested after ditching her dog at the Las Vegas airport when she was told she couldn't bring it on board. The woman was told the goldendoodle couldn't fly because it wasn't a registered service animal. Instead of leaving the airport, the woman decided to tie the dog to the JetBlue ticket counter and leave for the departure gate. "Airline staff advised the dog’s owner she was required to complete online documentation in order to travel with the animal as a service dog," said the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. "When the required paperwork was not completed, the passenger was denied a boarding pass. She then left the dog behind and proceeded through the airport to the departure gate." "Officers later located the individual at Gate D1. When asked why she abandoned the dog, she stated the airline would not allow her to fly with it and claimed the dog had a tracking device — implying it was acceptable to leave the animal behind and it would return to her." The woman then became "hostile" and resisted officers who tried to detain her. She was charged with animal abandonment and resisting arrest. The dog was sent to an Animal Protective Services' holding for 10 days. The owner never tried reclaiming the dog, who will now be up for adoption. When the required paperwork was not completed, the passenger was denied a boarding pass. She then left the dog behind and proceeded through the airport to the departure gate. Officers later located the individual at Gate D1. When asked why she abandoned the dog, she stated the airline would not allow her to fly with it and claimed the dog had a tracking device — implying it was acceptable to leave the animal behind and it would return to her. While escorting her back through the security checkpoint, she became hostile and resisted officers’ attempts to detain her. A family’s small dog named Muni Mya was attacked by a neighbor’s so-called service dog right outside their apartment building - the owner said her daughter Rihanna took the dog out to use the restroom and the large dog jumped off the patio and went straight for her neck while she was screaming for her life. The father came flying out of the apartment and neighbors who witnessed it caught it all on camera. They also have video of the same dog attacking another tenant and his dog on a separate occasion. The real question here is how a dog with a documented history of aggression toward other animals and people is being classified as a service animal - that title comes with privileges and access that a dangerous dog should never have. Service animal fraud is a very real problem in this country and innocent pets and people are paying the price for it. Do you think there should be stricter requirements to certify a service animal? On December 29, 2025, a woman was captured on video arriving in the 9000 block of Ashleigh Place in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. 🚨 ANIMAL RESCUE ALERT! 🚨 There is an animal shelter in Clay County, Florida called Safe Animal Shelter SafeAnimalShelter that might close down because the road construction in the area has shut down the main road where people come in to adopt animals, make donations, and save the animals in the shelter. Safe Animal Shelter is the oldest “No Kill” animal shelter in Clay County, FL! The road closure is expected to last for 18 months!!!! This is terrible. The shelter relies on donations, and because the road is blocked, people can’t come in to make donations or adopt the animals, which has caused their donations to drop by 60%! Hopefully, Governor Ron DeSantis can get involved and demand that the county reopen the road or change their hours for construction so that we can save these animals and prevent the animal rescue from shutting down due to a road closure! It would be great to see Florida’s Senators speak out about this and for Congressman Aaron Bean, who represents Clay County, Florida speak out about this road closure that is threatening the lives of innocent animals at the Safe Animal shelter! Aaron Bean This is outrageous. How are people supposed to save animals if the road is closed?
