Apparently there is a store you can go to that sells the lost luggage and belongings left on planes. The items are sold at a deep discount like a thrift store. I never knew they were allowed to sell items that weren’t theirs, even if it’s unclaimed like a suitcase, most of the time they have their names on it and a little investigation could lead to who the owner is. Do you agree that if they spent more time locating the owner they shouldn’t have to sell people’s belongings especially if they didn’t even know they left it behind?

Use of preferred pronouns and selected names based on gender identity is now MANDATORY “So they've just enacted a new law and Governor Jared Polis signed it going into the weekend, HB 1312 is actually a modification of, it's an amendment to the pre existing Colorado Anti Discrimination act — What this amendment does is it actually requires any individual in a public accommodation space to use mandatory preferred pronouns and selected names of individuals based on gender identity, even if those individuals disagree with the communication of a message that is antithetical to what they believe. It's the first time I have seen a state enact a law that is so patently unconstitutional that tries to concretize into the state canon a requirement to violate the First Amendment because not every Coloradan is going to agree with the use of preferred pronouns or gender identity related names.”

At the American Cemetery in Normandy, where rows of white marble headstones stretch farther than the eye can see, I can't help but think of my own family... of fathers, of grandfathers, of men who wore the uniform and answered the call. On that sacred French ground, something quietly powerful happens. 🙏 Caretakers, local volunteers, devoted staff— and historians, move with purpose and respect. They kneel beside each headstone and gently rub sand from Omaha Beach into the engraved letters. I imagine those grains of sand still holding the weight of that day... June 6, 1944. The names come into focus. Clearer. Stronger. Alive again. And I stood there, even if only in my mind, thinking how something so simple could carry so much meaning. I found it so honorable that people-many who never knew these men-would take the time to make sure their names are seen, remembered, and never lost to time. BREAKING: Oklahoma officials just announced that they have removed 450,000 ineligible names from the voter rolls, including 100,000 dead people and 15,000 duplicate registrations that somehow got pushed into the system "Oklahoma ensures only eligible voters participate in elections in part by following voter list maintenance procedures provided in state law. Since January 1, 2021, Oklahoma election officials have removed 97,065 deceased voters, 143,682 voters who moved out-of-state, 5,607 felons, 14,993 duplicate registrations, and 194,962 inactive voters who were canceled during the address verification process." Inflated voter rolls are on the Mt. Rushmore of ingredients of fraud. All you need to cheat in an election are ineligible names, universal mail-in voting, no chain of custody on ballots, and vulnerable voting machines. And don't forget a little bit of corruption on the side. Oklahoma is a red state with 4 million people in it. Numbers like these can easily flip it from deep red to blue overnight. If this is happening there, you can only imagine the problem is 100x worse in other states.

You are too obsessed with new customers. I know, I know. Sacrilegious. But the more time I spend around large brands the more insane I think it is that they are excluding people who haven't bought from the brand in years from seeing ads. CUSTOMERS DON'T BELONG TO YOU. You aren't as SAAS business. They have no ongoing obligation to purchase. They must be sold over and over again. And your next most incremental ad impression is likely to one of those people you are currently excluding. Additionally, at some point the marginal acquisition of the next customer on your current offer is NOT PROFITABLE. I feel complicit in this problem we pushed aMER and cohort modeling etc. and it can still be very useful. But I think we have swung the pendulum too far and it is time to recalibrate.
