A new report from Ukraine highlights the deployment of the HX-2 loitering munition by the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of the Air Force. Developed by the German defense company Helsing, the HX-2 has a reported range of up to 100 km, a top speed of 220 km/h, a 2.5 kg warhead, and terminal guidance capabilities. Germany has ordered a total of 6,000 HX-2 systems for Ukraine, with each unit reportedly costing around €17,000. The first known appearance of the US-made Mobile Anti-Air Weapons Launcher – Reconfigurable (MAAWLR) short-range air defense system in Ukraine. In the footage, the vehicle, developed by the American Sierra Nevada Corporation company, can be seen being targeted by a Russian FPV drone. MAAWLR is a light, low-cost platform dedicated for countering unmanned aerial vehicles. The system is based on the Battery Revolving Adaptive Weapons Launcher - Reconfigurable (BRAWLR) established on a pick-up chassis. The BRAWLR can have its pylons swapped to fire a wide variety of munitions, including AIM-9, AIM-120, AIM-132, IRIS-T, APKWS II and R-27. 🇺🇦 Help us replace a vehicle for the defenders of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade on the Kharkiv front. 🎯 Goal: $6,700 On the night of July 15, a Russian missile struck the house where Yulia, her husband, and their children were staying during rotation. By a miracle, everyone survived. That is what matters most. But the blast destroyed everything they had, including both of their vehicles. Yulia has been defending Ukraine since 2016. She is a mother of many children who has spent years protecting her country while raising a family through war. Her husband is also serving on the Kharkiv front with the 43rd Mechanized Brigade. Their eldest son joined the military at 18 after the full scale invasion, was wounded in Bakhmut, and continues to serve. Like his parents, he and his own young family have no permanent home because they are from Mariupol. This is not the first time war has taken everything from them. Today, we are raising funds to purchase a vehicle that will be used for combat missions, transporting personnel and equipment, and other essential military tasks on the Kharkiv front. Today, together with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, we are working on the front line in the Oleksandrivskyi sector. We met with the warriors of the 80th Halytska Separate Air Assault Brigade. And above all, we are here to express gratitude to the warriors thanks to whom Ukraine is able to mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of its independence these days. Russia began its full-scale war after the 30th anniversary, but for more than four years now, Ukrainian warriors have been fighting with pride and resilience to preserve our state. This is the main reason Ukraine exists and lives. I presented state awards to the warriors. Thank you for your service! We also discussed with the commanders today how to strengthen our defense. Today, together with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, we are working on the front line in the Oleksandrivskyi sector. We met with the warriors of the 80th Halytska Separate Air Assault Brigade. And above all, we are here to express gratitude to the warriors thanks to whom Ukraine is able to mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of its independence these days. Russia began its full-scale war after the 30th anniversary, but for more than four years now, Ukrainian warriors have been fighting with pride and resilience to preserve our state. This is the main reason Ukraine exists and lives. I presented state awards to the warriors. Thank you for your service! We also discussed with the commanders today how to strengthen our defense.
