🇸🇾 Post-Assad Syria Fragments as Regional Movements Reject Damascus Syria is fracturing as more regions refuse to recognize the Islamist-backed government in Damascus. 🔹 In southern Syria, the newly formed Suwayda Provincial Military Council has declared itself the civil and military authority over the Suwayda region. The council consists of Druze militia groups numbering up to 10,000 fighters, with support from Israeli Druze military personnel. 🔹 Meanwhile, the underground “Ugarit Region Committee” in the coastal provinces of Latakia and Tartus has announced the formation of an alternative government, further weakening Damascus’ grip. Both groups are demanding democratic reforms and the expulsion of foreign militants, while asserting their right to armed resistance against the central government. 🇮🇱 Netanyahu begins implementing plan to invade and control southern Syria: Israeli Air Force carries out airstrikes on Damascus, Quneitra, As-Suwayda and Daraa The Israeli Defense Minister issued a statement: We will not allow southern Syria to become southern Lebanon. Any attempt by the Syrian regime forces and the country's terrorist organizations to establish themselves in the security zone in southern Syria will be met with fire. Now the air force is attacking southern Syria with force as part of the new policy we have developed to liberate southern Syria .

Clashes continue this morning in Suwayda, between the Druze & the Syrian regime forces. Overnight the Israeli army bombed additional Syrian regime positions in Daraa, southern Syria. It seems that Israel wants the Druze to control the south, and don't trust Jolani on this.
