This is a shameless fabrication from Congressman Greg Casar. The illegal alien is receiving around-the-clock medical care, including pain medications. It is longstanding practice to provide comprehensive medical care from the moment an alien enters U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody, including 24-hour emergency care. ICE has higher detention standards than most American prisons that hold actual American citizens.

I’m on the scene of the I-80 sinkholes with Governor Phil Murphy and Congressman Tom Kean. The entire interstate is shut down here. State troopers say they’ve never seen anything like this. NJDOT is taking the lead, but U.S. Department of Transportation is here to partner with them and provide critical assistance to get this economic artery back up and running. This is not political, it’s about making sure the American people are taken care of.
