RIMPAC 2026, the 30th iteration of the exercise, began June 24 and brought together 30 nations, more than 30,000 personnel, 30 surface ships, five submarines, and more than 197 aircraft under the theme, Partners: Integrated and Prepared. ⚓📰 #USNAVY UPDATE: RIMPAC 2026 comes to a successful conclusion JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii – The biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, the world’s largest combined and joint maritime exercise successfully concluded, July 31. RIMPAC 2026, the 30th iteration of the exercise, began June 24 and brought together 30 nations, more than 30,000 personnel, 30 surface ships, five submarines, and more than 197 aircraft under the theme, Partners: Integrated and Prepared. Throughout five weeks of realistic training, participating forces enhanced combined and joint interoperability, strengthened readiness, and reinforced the partnerships that support maritime security across the Indo-Pacific “No single nation can ensure security in the Pacific alone,” said U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Jeff Jablon, Commander, RIMPAC 2026 Combined Task Force. “The global maritime environment is too large and too complex for any one country to safeguard by itself. RIMPAC gives us the chance to build the trust and relationships that make us stronger long before any crisis happens.”

Today, a poll regarding the appointment of a new head for the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy was concluded in the Army-Plus app. It is crucial that this decision is made in collaboration with our military personnel. Colonel Roman Kachur received the most votes. He has extensive frontline experience, having commanded the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade. I spoke with Colonel Kachur, and he has a clear vision of what needs to change in military education and specifically at the National Ground Forces Academy. I have instructed Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, to appoint Colonel Kachur as the Academy’s head. We need the highest-quality training for our warriors, officers, training that draws on the experience of this war and the heroism of Ukrainian fighters on the frontlines. The Ukrainian Army needs strong tactical leaders—capable sergeants and lieutenants. I thank all the soldiers who participated in the poll. We will continue using Army-Plus and other digital tools of our state to engage our people in making government decisions.
