ALERT: Deck collapses as US Marshals and police try to serve a search warrant on a s*x offender. U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement officers in Missouri were on the second story of a deck, allegedly serving a warrant for failure to register as a s*x offender. Several injuries were reported, including four deputy U.S. marshals, two North Missouri Drug Task Force members, and one Randolph County deputy. None of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening.

They were looking for Jacob Alexander Munoz, 26, who had stopped reporting to his parole officer. Nine to ten officers piled onto the second-story balcony. Within about two seconds the deck detached from the building and collapsed, sending them into a pile of beams and debris. Five officers were hospitalized with broken bones, torn muscles, and concussions. Munoz was not home but later surrendered.

The officers were there to arrest a 26-year-old man for failing to register as a sex offender.
