URGENT: The U.S. is moving toward a potential war with Iran, with aircraft carriers, warships, and hundreds of fighter jets already positioned as officials warn strikes could come soon a catastrophic conflict that would put millions of lives at risk, endanger tens of thousands of U.S. troops in the region, and repeat the deadly mistakes of Iraq. Regardless of how you feel about Iran’s government, another war in the Middle East would be devastating and avoidable; Congress must act now by supporting the bipartisan War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 38, introduced by Reps. Ro Khanna and Tom Massie, to stop unauthorized military action and push for real diplomacy before it’s too late.

Four additional U.S. F-15s are en route to the Middle East with tanker support, adding to what’s now one of the largest American mobilizations in the region since the Iraq War. Roughly a third of the U.S. Navy is positioned near Iranian waters. Meanwhile, Tehran briefly disrupted traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, leaving dozens of cargo ships and tankers stalled in a maritime bottleneck during its naval drills.

The Pentagon is considering a new invasion of Iran—they're calling it Operation Sledgehammer. NBC reports that the US military presence in the region is now larger than even at the start of the war, with an additional carrier strike group and re-armed assets. This will be yet another catastrophic invasion of Iran.
