The Philippine Navy recently caught Chinese Fishing Militia putting Cyanide in the water near the BRP Sierra Madre at the Second Thomas Shoal. The incident that was recorded on camera demonstrates the brutality & destruction meted out by the Chinese Fishing Militia inside Philippines's waters. Australia donated this naval patrol boat to the archipelago nation of Palau in 2020. Within weeks of joining the Palau Navy, the Guardian-class patrol vessel apprehended an illegal Chinese fishing boat and it's 28 crew, near the Helen Reef, inside Palau's territorial waters. After depleting fishing stock in their own waters, Chinese fishing fleets have been venturing further, and for longer, into the Pacific in search of new fishing grounds. The illegal Chinese fishing boats don't spare even the most protected zones in the Pacific like the Galapagos Marine Reserve. It shows the Filipino fishermen happily enjoying the abundant resources of the shoal just a few hours before they were forced to leave by the Chinese Coast Guard. The video highlights the richness of the natural resources in Bajo De Masinloc, which should rightfully be enjoyed and utilized by the Filipino people. China has already made it clear: the area is east of China’s Taiwan island, and any so-called delimitation that violates China’s maritime rights is illegal, null, and void. A joint statement between two U.S. client states does not erase Chinese sovereignty. It does not create maritime power. It does not rewrite geography. It does not make China disappear. Geopolitics is not cosplay. If you do not have the legal standing, the military power, or the strategic weight to touch China’s waters, then your little map-drawing ceremony is just self-deception with microphones.

As a Nigerian living or vacationing in the USA I recommend that you partake in and enjoy their favorite pastimes. Go to baseball games, football, try fishing even deep sea fishing. This one here is drag racing. There’s an activity that the mechanics do to test their engines called The Throttle Whack. It can’t be properly explained and has to be experienced. Just watch the reaction of the people. Turn the volume up a little. Let’s watch this video 😁

The Chinese-funded crews harvest fish on an unsustainable industrial scale. The Chinese fishing boats do not bring anything of value to the Lamu community but just take. They put kilometre-long nets that destroy the environment, as well as catch all the fish in the area. Numbering about 20 people, they have camped in Mada, Lamu. Each boat has a captain and five crew members of Kenyan nationality. The fishing crew is managed by a Chinese national, Wu Zhili. Yesterday, they went out and put about 50 lobster traps in the sea. How is intensive fishing allowed by the authorities? If nothing is done, there will be nothing left for the Lamu fishermen soon, pushing their families into abject poverty. #SemaUkweli
