Today in Parliament, I delivered a statement on the successes of my visit to the United States and my participation in the Shield of the Americas Summit. A proclamation signed by US President Donald Trump President Donald J. Trump empowers the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition and makes clear that: 1. Criminal cartels and foreign terrorist organizations in the Western Hemisphere must be fully dismantled. 2. The United States and its allies will coordinate to deprive these organizations of territory, financing and resources. 3. Partner nation militaries will be trained and mobilized to dismantle cartel networks and prevent the export of violence. 4. The hemisphere will stand together to prevent external influences from destabilizing our region. For Trinidad and Tobago, the benefits of this cooperation are substantial. Listen as I explain how this initiative strengthens our fight against crime and enhances the safety and security of our people. My full contribution here:
