There is this thing called Secure Communities that was implemented after 9/11 and mandated under Obama. A database that shares criminal data between local law enforcement and the FBI. When an immigrant commits a crime, their fingerprints are uploaded and sent to the FBI. The FBI then forwards the details to Homeland Security and ICE, which allows them to apprehend the individual. The problem is that sanctuary cities don't want to cooperate because they feel as if criminals are good for the public, so they decide to let them go rather than detain them. Why is ICE in communities searching for and apprehending immigrants? Basically, Democratic-run sanctuary cities arrest, charge, and set free criminals to roam the cities and offend again!
